The Vancouver Canucks have lost to the Winnipeg Jets 4-1. It’s seriously the first game we’ve seen of the Canucks since March, and now we’re here.
Jake Virtanen was out of the lineup, replaced by Zack MacEwen, Micheal Ferland, Tyler Motte, and Jay Beagle, while Olli Juolevi suited up as the 7th defenceman and had some good looks.
The 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs will involve eight already-confirmed teams, which are the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, and Philadelphia Flyers in the East, and the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights, and Dallas Stars in the West. The remaining teams will fight in qualifying play-in series. The matchups will be the Chicago Blackhawks against the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames against the Winnipeg Jets, Arizona Coyotes against the Nashville Predators, Vancouver Canucks against the Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins against the Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes against the New York Rangers, and the Florida Panthers against the New York Islanders.

Game was an Oof and Ferland looked slower than I remembered, but I still loved the Rous Gaud Ferland line, it will get mean in the playoffs I can tell

The lack of offense really worries me. Outside of Boeser and Hughes a lot of the other guys were quiet. Miller worries me the most with his blind passes.

I was SCREAMING at my TV for Green to put Boeser with Pettersson for half the game. Toffoli played great towards the end of the season, but Boeser is also usually really good on that line. And plus Boeser has looked really good in training camp and in this game. Iām hoping green will at least try that in game 1
Like I said the Vancouver Canucks figured the way to beat the Jets is to force their defence and they tried that. In the first period Vancouver came out hard. And like usual the Jets slowly take over the game. I seen it all year they did it with Washington capitals. They did it with the Philadelphia Flyers the Toronto Maple Leafs. So donāt feel bad Vancouver
Defensively we need to do better, offense I was pretty happy with, just got to get a little more luck. Winnipeg's goalie was a brick wall. Overall got to shake the rust off and we should be ready to go!

canucks got out coached , guys looked slow,. ferland did nothing , looked scared to hit or get hit ,, jets trained no scrimmages just trained like machines ,, canucks did to many scrimmages , cant practice properly with just scrimmages , no one hits or plays to there full potential during scrimmages , so how physical can they look ,, brutal game ..poor zack-macewen , played 5 mins ?? juolevi played 6 mins like wtf , those guys deserved more ,, its exhibition come on Green, and why no Demko 2nd half ?? dumb
