  1. Livin in Calgary this is pretty hard .. thank you for ur candlelight vigil .. as I will light a candle at the saddledome tonight for Columbus

  2. The hardest part of this for me is that I have seen fans say they don't know when they will ever watch hockey again or if they ever will again.

  3. Penguins fans extend their condolences. Unfortunately, some of the oldest fans of the team know this too well from Michel Briere. Johnny was such a special player and person, and it filled me with joy to see him try to turn around the perception of this franchise. I wish I could've made the trip to Front Street. 🫂

  4. On behalf of St. Louis Blues fans, I want to extend our deepest, most sincere condolences to the Guadreau family, the Blue Jackets organization, and to Blue Jackets, Flames, and Gaudreau fans everywhere.

  5. Thank you for this. This is so tragic . My condolences. My Swedish cousin also suddenly passed away this time last year. He was an ex hockey player also same age, married with daughter 3, and son under 1 😢

  6. R.I.P. Johnny Hockey!!! I’m so glad I was able to see you play at a CBJ game before you died!!! I hope you’re doing well up there with your brother, Mr. Mac, and Kivi!!! I was born a member of the 5th Line since birth and now I want to send my condolences to you and your brother!!!❤️💙🩶🏒 Rest easy Johnny!!!

  7. Die hard Flyers fan here, Johnny was always suppose to come home to us one day.. it breaks my heart knowing he’ll never fulfill that childhood dream..but you’ll always be one of us, you always repped the Philly teams hard & proudly and I’ve always loved you for it! thank you to Johnny & Mathew for all they did not only hockey but for the community in the Philly & Jersey area… inspiring to us all I hope your family can find some peace in this nightmare. #FlyJohnnyFly 😢🦅🙏🏼

  8. As Flyers fan Johnny you’ll always be one of us! Jk I know that doesn’t matter but thanks for always repping Philly (I know he was from jersey) and Mathew too. Thanks for it all your father and mother should always be proud of you both RIP fellas. May God continue to bless and watch over the Gaudreau’s during this tough time.

  9. Made this account as. Gaudreau / Flyers fan when I thought the Flyers were forsure the team to sign Gaudreau. Will never forgive Chuck Fletcher for not getting our guy. But Prayers to all the other Fans from Boston, to Calgary , Jersey , Columbus and Philly I’m happy to see we can all come together to mourn these 2 great men….

  10. AZ/Utah fan, it still doesn’t feel real.. I’m still praying it’s not really real he was one hell of a player and one hell of a guy, he had his entire life still ahead of him, he lost it because some drunk moron couldn’t call an Uber, the son of a bitch barely had any remorse that he took away 2 wonderful fathers and shattered the hearts of ever NHL Fan, Rest In Peace Johnny and Mathew Hockey.. you both will be severely missed..

  11. On behalf of the Detroit Red Wings fans…our deepest condolences to the fans of Calgary and Columbus, and the entire Gaudreau family!

  12. You can tell Gudbranson’s speech came from the heart. We’re here with you buddy ❤️‍🩹

  13. Born and raised in Ohio. 2 years ago my friend got me into hockey, specifically the jackets. This last off season I have watched everything posted , every interview. All the drama and excitement leading up to the gm/coach hire. I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was that Johnny picked Columbus. So I was genuinely curious and learned everything about this guy. All the highlights. His amazing college career, and his time at Calgary. But I realized he was a family man through and through. He picked Columbus because it’s a great place to raise a family and he’s close to his family in Jersey. When this news hit of his passing it was very shocking to me. It made me emotional that day.. it’s hard to watch anything blue jackets related now… it Just makes me super sad …. Hope that changes cause I love this team. No I’ve never met him. But I’ve seen his instagram. His family..I’ve been watching him in all the little player skit/interviews they do. You can tell he is a great person, it’s above hockey at this point.someone’s horrible decision to drink and drive costed two great lives on this earth . I pray for his wife. I pray for his children. I pray for his family. Rip Johnny and Matthew

    Please Don’t drink and drive

  14. Man it hurts so much seeing you gone. Seeing the Hollydell ice arena jerseys bring back major flashbacks and wish I kept my jerseys as a kid … You'll always be my Hometown hero.

  15. Sending my condolences from Buffalo. Johnny was a favorite player of mine and he will be missed. My heart goes out to his family and the fans in Columbus and Calgary.

  16. I was so happy when johnny chose Columbus. Not just because he would be on team and was best +/- in league off that insane battle of Alberta series in Calgary but because he's the perfect role model to be around the city. It's players like Johnny I wanna root for day in and day out and I don't care one bit about a dip in points or something. It's the opposite of like the browns removing baker for unlikable Deshaun for performance doesn't make me want to root for browns more even if they win more. Point is Johnny is the kind of guy I root for jackets on game 82 of losing season because he's a person I like. It's almost perfectly drawn up storyline to have the perfect human taken in prime of life with so many who loved him. Gosh I hope his wife and fam can find a smooth path through this horrible event to some kind of peace and still find a way for awesome life.

  17. I just got back from the candlelight vigil here in Calgary. It was beautiful just like yours. I hope you swing by and watch out tonight too. We all love Johnny.

  18. deepest appreciation to the blue jackets organization players fans for doing this for the Gaudreau Family. we the fans all over the world Calgary and here in Columbus.

  19. Great tribute to a couple of great guys. My heart goes out to the Gaudreau family and friends. I still can't believe it.

  20. Here from Montreal. We're here to send our thoughts and prayers to his family 🕊🕯💐🏒 ❤🕯🕊 RIP The Gaudreau Bros.
