In 85-86, the Oilers had 4 100 point players. Messier was injured part of the year and missed out. Also, you could say they had 5 as Wayne did it twice, totalling 215 points that year.
So you know how Wayne has more assists than anyone does points? Well this is the byproduct.

They pretty much each had over 50 goals (Coffey had 48), and Moose had 84 points in 63 games that season. Ridiculous team

I mean, they had 3 just two years ago

Bothers me that the last 0 has one less puck than the other 0. All I see is lOo

Is there an original, not color enhanced version of this photo you have? I’d love to see that one

So for the sake of discussion, what team does this next? I can see teams having 3, but 4 is insane. For example, I could see Miller, Petterson, and Hughes hitting 100, but the only long shot for a 4th is Boeser. I can see for Edmonton, McDavid, Draiseitel, Hyman, but who is the 4th.

If today’s players were shooting on 1980’s goalies, a dozen teams would have 4 100-point scorers.

1985 – 86 Edmonton Oilers Gretzy 215 Coffey 138 Kurri 131 Anderson 102 Messier 84 (in just 63 games)
Almost a 5th one in Messier if he played more games and remained healthy. Lost to Calgary 4 – 3 in Division finals

1st, 3rd, 4th and 12th in scoring. When the 1970/71 Bruins did it they were the top 4 scorers and the only players in the league to clear 100.
Please don’t remind me of game 7 oliers vs flyers 😭 1987?
Surprised it wasn’t 5 with Messier.
I like how this was taken in West Edmonton Mall
