I think with another year under their belts as a team combined with the additions and just as important, the subtractions, we are in much better shape than the last couple years. With Oshie and Patches out alone, that will save a lot of man games lost to injury and thereby create more chemistry with a lot less churn.
When Wayne Gretzky retired I was afraid of losing interest in the NHL. Then I became a huge Hasek fan, along with really digging Lemieux when he came back in 2000. Hated him prior. Ovechkin came along and is the one I have loved the most which I thought was impossible. Going up in front of 99 that is. I really want to see ovie play longer than out this current contract. Crosby will definitely be playing 4-five years from now. I want ovie to find that inner hunger to continue like Jagr. I think it’s all about motivation. If the team is getting better, then maybe. Jagr I followed since his first season being exactly the same age, almost to the date. Early 1972 birth.
