Hughesā acceleration is pretty fast, I think one game there was a breakaway for the other team and Quinn managed to catch up to him, but top speed goes to bure
the_nige_
Mason Raymond has gotta be up there!
TheDutchin
The answer is Bure but I’m putting some respect on Bambi himself, Mason Raymond was quick as fuck.
Nobody streaks down the wing, turns, falls over, and slides into the end boards nearly as fast as he could.

Relative to the era, I would pick Bure. But I think Mason Raymond was the fastest Canuck. Anyone got any all-star speed stats from Canucks skills comps? Did they do that in Bureās day?
De_Floppss
Quinn is heads and shoulder the BEST skater we have had with all his edgework
But the fastest north south skater is 100% Bure

Michael Grabner had wheels ..
Edit .. he did the speed skating comp with a time of 14.061 which is pretty darn good

Mason Raymond did 13.478 at 2010 Canucks superskills. Up there with the best of the best.

Bure. Raymond. And don’t forget Mikheyev!

Brandon Reid. He only played like a dozen games but Jesus could he fly.

Remember Mason Raymond?? His skates melted the ice he was so fast
Analytical-BrainiaC
Pavel Bure, ask anyone who played with himā¦.
swainsauce89
Gotta be the Russian rocket. Not only how fast he could skate but how fast he was with his cuts and hands while moving at top speed.
HM to Raymond but Bure is in a league of his own

The Jeff Tambellini backcheck against Nashville deserves an honourable mention

Ronalds Kenins had the fastest ever recorded during a game with 41.32 km/h, not sure if it’s still the record. This was at the Worlds a few years back. McDavid has the NHL record of 40.9 km/h.

Bure is the no-brainer, but he had a teammate who actually beat him in team skills competition: Bret Hedican. This blueliner was FAST. He was awesome to watch on ice especially catching up to players who seemed to on clear breakaways.
