[Anthony Di Marco] I’m told Alexei Kolosov has begun practicing with Minsk; what the player and his camp do next will certainly be interesting. Stick taps to HockeyNewsHub, who helped me track this development down.

I know there is not only smoke, but straight up fire at this point. However, don’t most European players practice with their city’s team before coming over for the camp though?

Maybe we should try drafting a Finnish goalie next. One of these countries have to give us a drama free prospect.

Will Minsk have the gall to sign him to a conflicting KHL contract?

Man why can’t we have one fuckin summer without nonsense. Dude signs a contract, comes over for 4 weeks then says yah I’m good. Like what the fuck.

  5. Major parts of Danny Briere’s first year as GM

    1. The botched 2023 draft trade with the Blue Jackets due to a veteran refusing to come here

    2. Akinson declining trade to the Sharks

    3. Carter Hart situation

    4. Cutter Gauthier drama

    5. Alexi Kolosov drama

    6. Ryan johansen drama

    7. Drafting/Getting Michkov over here

    8. Signing Ivan Fedotov

Somehow despite most of these happening in his first year as GM the team was 1 point away from the playoffs; credit to Torts and Briere.

Edit: I have gone back and fixed my mistakes; I apologize for the error and will make sure to fix my errors in the future.

I guess he will never play in the NHL. The flyers don’t need to bend to his will.

  7. It would be funny if Minsk signed some awesome goalies during the off-season and Kolosov ends up being the third or fourth best goalie on that team.

I’m empathetic to the fact that he’s a young guy, and this transition would be tough.

But man..when Hart was our starter, this guy had almost zero chance that he would play in the NHL for a while. This guy has a golden opportunity to start out in the AHL, and show that he has the ability to end up being a starting goalie at the NHL level.

Playing 66% (at least) of your ELC in another country is just ridiculous lol
