[JFresh] kind of odd how the Buffalo Sabres are supposedly serious about making the playoffs but also have $8.5M in cap space with only Peyton Krebs to sign. every team with more than $3M in space either has a significant RFA or is rebuilding.

  1. Ok, but this doesn’t fit my narrative of the Sabres winning the Cup this year, so I can’t acknolwedge it /s šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Just give the GM job to Beane, sit back and watch

Might as well have just held onto skinner until you knew someone would actually sign here. Better for us in the long term to have him off the books asap

  4. Skinner should have been given the year. Buying him out at 4 years was a way better idea than 6. Stupid decision and he hasnā€™t even been close to replaced.

It hasnā€™t been serious all off season, starting with Ruff.

  6. Itā€™s basically Skinners space and they havenā€™t used it? Seems like theyā€™re hoping internal growth of the young players accounts for 8.5m worth of players? I donā€™t think you need to be maxed to the cap to simply make the playoffs and with the talent they have Iā€™d say 100% playoffs are in the cards regardless of if that 8.5 is spent or not.

Adams has done a horrendous job and I donā€™t care if Pegula has an internal cap. Iā€™m so sick of hearing about that from a billionaire who said ā€œif I want more money Iā€™ll just drill moreā€.

  8. The team clearly has an internal salary-cap. The owners are just the worst…
