I think as a player if he’d been born 10 years later his career would have looked way differently. Not a lot of guys his size were breaking through in the clutch and grab era. He had a ton of skill though.

Benning era had multiple players like Reid where they were too good for the AHL, but not quite good enough for the NHL.
