I’ve always been a die hard nucks fan but ever since ovi was drafted he was my favourite player. I rooted for the caps and nucks every playoffs they contended for. I consider myself a true Canucks fan but honestly the capitals are and always be in my heart. It was so exciting to watch him play. i literally cried when they won. I’ve been thru the pain with you caps fans. OVI IS THE GOAT.

Its pretty incredible how much Ovi has meant to the hockey world. He has revolutionized what it means to be a pro hockey player both on and off the ice. He will always be compared to Sidney Crosby, and rightfully so in some regards, but Ovi's personality and willingness to go against the grain are what separate him from all others. Just from a hockey culture standpoint I believe he has had the biggest impact since Gretzky. Damn do I love this game.
We do not understand how privileged we are to watch one of the greatest like top 3 greatest of all time hockey players and one of the greatest athletes of all time in general play every single night. Ovi will forever be I believe the goat sports figure in DC and the 2nd greatest should be Nicky. Him winning the cup will be my greatest moment he showed everybody that he could win AS A CAP even after almost a decade of heartbreak. Truly amazing
