Not sure who this one could go to, I’m excited to see the responses.

Gelly has to be up there. Sure it was a cannon but man that thing was a wildcard

  2. FingernailToothpicks

    Recency bias but…Brendan Smith.

  3. jRoughcopy

Ben Lovejoy, the man was great slapping it so wide of the net the forwards couldn’t even tip it

Ok… at the risk of being unpopular.. hear me out.

Someone had over 1100 shots, how many goals should they have? Playing defense you don’t expect 10% shooting of course. But if I told you 36 goals on over 1100 shots that’s not great shooting. 3% to be specific.

    Mr Devil did that.

    Chico. Worst shot ever….lol

Don’t roast me….just keeping it light.

  6. PK Subban. He has so many clappers that never hit the net.

  7. Yakitack

    Mark Fayne.

Was his overall shot technically the worst? Probably not. But he barely scored and took probably the worst individual shot in Devils history.

This one’s a bit off the board because who really keeps track of that, right? So I went to Hockey Reference.

There’s 110 players who played at least 1 game and have a shooting percentage of 0. Among those, I just eyeballed the Games Played and Shots columns to look for outliers. And I think I’ve landed on Tim Sestito with 100 Games Played between 2010-2015; as a center he took 62 shots for no goals as a Devil. Again, just by eyeball and clicking a few player names, he appears to be among the longest tenured players with no goals scored and I’m kind of confident he’s the forward with the most shots taken without a goal.

I also motion that the grid unblurs Kovalchuk in favor of blurring mcleod.

Unblur the sniper and blur the rapist what even is this

  10. Plexi rexi. Best shot but never on net so, worst shot

Look, this might be a little out of left field but: Stephen Gionta. He was accurate af, so long as the target was the logo on a goalie’s chest. How many strong shifts and breakaways did he hustle to get off a shot, just for it to hit middle middle.

For someone who was hyped up for offensive upside, PK Subban missed a lot while being a devil

  13. shmula78

Mark Fayne. Simply because of the shot in the 2012 cup finals

  14. No_Blacksmith_3215

Unfortunately it’s Daneyko. He played >1200 games and had a 3% shooting percentage lol.

Hating on Kovy is so stupid. Top 5 Devil all time and he did us a favor by bailing on that insane contract. We’d do well to move past any hurt feelings with him and Parise

David Hale still holds the record for most games needed to score his first NHL goal at 231, so probably him.

  17. nsfwITGUY19

Thank you for blurring his face. POS. But yeah McCleod can be blurred too.

  18. nsfwITGUY19

Daneyko I guess because he never scored? I don’t recall him having a “bad shot” he just never really tried much?

  19. WontSwerve

Daneyko getting on the board for this because it’s kinda true, but mostly because it’s hilarious.
