He’s a front runner for a top 6 spot on a playoff team and is still whining about his usage by a coach that isn’t here anymore.

Just trade him if his attitude is going to be like this.

  2. PostwarNeptune

Frank says a lot of things. I’d wait until hearing this from someone else before believing it.

  3. I don’t know. He seems like exactly what we’re looking for in a winger. A middle 6 LW with scoring ability.

Like, sure, he’s a known asset now with a contract so the team acquiring him in any trade knows what they’re getting. I just can’t see why the Leafs would want to do it, or why they should. We’re not going to get a good return for him.

  4. Frank Servalli says stuff all the time. Remember when he said Marner was %100 gonna be traded then nothing happened? This guy is clueless.

If Robby gets traded I won’t be surprised but I’m taking anything Frank says with a grain of salt.

  5. because the boss doesnt like when you throw a tantrum.

  6. It’s Frank Seravalli, take it with a grain of salt.

  7. NutellaMonger

This could also be in the FO’s interest for better or for worse. They apparently want to add both Hakanpaa and Pacioretty. Tough to do that with Robertson now on the books.

  8. Chambodian

Seravalli just sounds upset he didn’t break the signing first so is just making stuff up to get attention.

  9. ‘It’s *insert journalist insider name here*, take it with a grain of salt’

  10. CMDRShepardN7

Why would they even sign him if they planned to trade him? They could have traded him as an rfa.

  11. Steakholder__

It would be incredibly stupid to trade him. We need what he brings.

  12. I kinda thought it was a trade bait contract based on the amount too tbh..

  13. Because Frank feels left out. He’s been salty about the Leafs ever since the Ryan O’Rielly trade.

  14. specialk554

If we don’t net a positive haul for him (IMO that’s either at minimum a second round pick or a prospect of that ilk) we should sit on him. Let him either break out or wash. Theres absolutely no reason to deal an asset for Pennies on the dollar

  15. IAmTheBredman

Nicks ahent is just trying to save face and make it seem like there was interest when there wasnt

  16. ApeManMemeStonker

Why not? why are people talking like this kid is some cant miss stud. Hes not that good, hes scored a few goals but will never be a top 6 here. Who cares? We overrate these guys so much, move him for cap space and move on.

  17. Until Lebrun Dreger or Freidman reports it I won’t believe this idiot! SHIT he just signed

  18. burningxmaslogs

875,000 is a nice easy contract to move.

  19. I don’t understand the plan with this team. The lineup doesn’t make any sense and trading Robertson and signing Pacioretty doesn’t make sense either. I just don’t get it.

I want to start with, I really like Max Domi and his game and his fit on the right team. But for them to have watched him play with Matthews for a month and think, let’s go back to him being the 3C where he stunk for the first half of the year? And if the plan isn’t for Domi to be the 3C, then are they thinking it’s Holmberg? Kampf? Is Nylander back to center and Tavares is the 3C?

They needed to get a center this offseason, and it’s not like there were a lot available and most of them got overpaid but Alex Wennberg at 5 million would’ve made way more sense than Domi and OEL. The lineup doesn’t really fit together.

  20. Shiny_Mew76

Easier to trade someone who’s on a contract than trade the rights to an RFA.

  21. Strangle1441

My gut tells me the leafs would live to regret trading Robertson

He has a ton to learn but you can’t teach that shot. You can’t teach that competitiveness. You can teach everything else

  22. JamesCurtis24

There is virtually zero upside to the Leafs trading Robertson. I’ll be very disappointed if this is true. It would just be yet another situation where this team allows players with little to no leverage dictate what they’re gonna do.

  23. Eldarion69

People are misreading this situation. Robertson is going nowhere. The Leafs are going to waive Timmins, sign Hakanpaa for $1.5 million and then have him undergo knee surgery and put him on LTIR. On the last day of training camp, they’ll sign Pacioretty to a $1.5 million, one year contract. Hakanpaa will spend the season rehabbing his knee and will be ready for the playoffs – in effect, he will be the Leafs’ deadline addition. And the Leafs will have Pacioretty and Robertson on the left side all year. A tidy bit of work by Treliving.

  24. ChrisPBacon34

Robertson reposted the signing on his Instagram story so I don’t think he’s getting traded. I don’t think he would have reposted the post the leafs made for him if he didn’t have intentions of actually playing with the team this year.

  25. CancerFreeLeafs

whens the last time this clown was right?

  26. acarson245

Give him one more season- see if he develops into a 20-25 goal player

  27. jimmymeeko

I don’t think this is actually based off anything. Just speculating about the possibility of it happening.

  28. GreatName

Probably because he doesn’t want to be here and is easier to trade with a contract

  29. Intelligent-Today528

Serevalli is full of shit 95 percent of the time so I’d take this with a grain of salt

  30. electroviruz

When he says ‘Belief is…” who exactly are the people believing it?

  31. If he forces a trade, I can’t wait to hear the boos when he comes back.

  32. clapperssailing

Kid deserves a new set of eyes. Little secret, our secondary coaching is putrid.

  33. LikeButta_10

Remember that time that Frank guaranteed that John Gibson would never play another game for the Ducks because John Gibson said he would never play another game for the Ducks.

And John Gibson said “I never said that” and Frank still tried to tell people otherwise.

  34. AgentAdja

Eh, I’d rather see Cowan get into the lineup anyway.

  35. Guaranteed that’s not going to happen. If he really wanted out they would have let him sit all season. My guess is they sat down with him. Told him that he can be a big part of the team and he’ll get the minutes this year to show it. Which is why he resigned.

  36. CautiousDiamond4841

Most of this clowns posts and assumptions are just plain nuts, and seldom ever come to fruition. Get a real job Frank, as you are NOT in the same class as Elliot Freedman.

  37. strike-when-ready

Pretty sure he also said there was a 5% chance Marner plays for the Leafs this upcoming season or something
