Tampa drafted extremely well and Florida was really good and finding gems that were cast offs. That is why they were good. I think Russ is correct about players wanting to go to good teams. Florida will be a draw now because of their success. If they stink, players will choose to go elsewhere.
I think the problem for Canadian teams is the fan base can be a bit over the top making it stressful for players. if you play for Toronto, the media will analyze your pregame meal and how you dress; in Florida, you are luckly to even get recognized outside of the arena.
Love the deep discussion on putting Luchenko to center Michkov during preseason and even camp. Hearing the logic from Rachel, about the benefits of pairing two young hungry players together to see if they step up.

Russ, your comment earlier in the episode, about Montreal having an unlimited budget for certain areas within the Canadians francise; it is really eye-opening as someone who primarily only plays NHL GM mode, to see how certain financial areas arent monitored or regimented, and that it can result in them "shoring up" their deficiencies on the ice, and has led Montreap to gaining a deep system having more resources and a nearly unlimited budget. Couldn't agree more!!
