Hoping this means he’s been checked over by the doctors and they’re confident in his knee.

  2. thismadhatter

Easy to LTIR. If he can keep it together physically for another season, he’ll be a good addition.

  3. Soggy_Specific4093

Going from two years down to one is a little concerning but he really competes the d-core with three left shots and three right shots now.

  4. So with this signing, and with Patches even sending down Timmins I don’t think clears enough cap room so someone is heading out the door shortly.

  5. bootygoon2

Can’t wait to watch him, Benoit and McCabe bully dudes out there every night

  6. TheFoundation_

I hope he can stay healthy! He’s a great 3rd pairing guy who loves to throw the body.

  7. james-HIMself

Do we even have the money? I know Timmins is on his way out

  8. So a trade is bound to happen now right? Who do we say goodbye to – Lilly, Kämpf, Jarny?

  9. Showtime98

So he’s finally signed. Is this guy actually good

  10. Ficklenesses

Get ready for a trade coming boys. My guess would be multiple players being moved perhaps 2+

  11. Why do people actually believe Steve Simmons. Oh He’s hurt he’s hurt, says a very poor reporter that very few actually like.

I only believe real trusted credible sources.

  12. AdIntelligent1416

Anyone know what’s significant of 1.47 and not 1.5? I thought we were in the clear by like $333 by sending Timmons down

  13. CMDRShepardN7

I want him in a pre-game press suggesting Simmons to get his facts checked if he wants credibility.

  14. Snag Lorenz super cheap and that makes for a pretty 3rd and 4th combo options. Also, where is this money coming from? Lol I’m down for whatever VGK Esq b’s they can pull lmao let’s ggggoooooo!!!! Hahha

I’m just pumped for the season to get started! Gonna be a great one to watch for so many fan bases! Be keeping g an eye on Utah. I feel like the change of scenery is going to be all the placebo they need to do great things.

A lot of big gambles being played by Tree this year. What are the odds that they all work out. Fingers crossed I guess.

  16. ApexLogical

Do we think he will even play at all this season?

  17. Objective-Fishing310

If this plays out the way it normally does, he’ll have a great year, sign a multi year big $$$ contract somewhere else then suck for the entirety of that contract.

  18. Currently over cap by 1,069,000
    13F 8D
    Timmins salary: 1.1Mm

May still be a trade coming to get patches in…. But as it stands Timmins getting waived

Love the signing…you can’t teach size and Jani plays with some snarl. It’s nice to see more than a handful of guys who can legitimately sandpaper a guy in our own end.

Without Robertson and Timmins and with Jani they are over the cap without an extra forward, and even still if they waive Reaves. Someone from the perceived regulars has to be traded along with Robertson and Timmins. Only ones that make sense are Kampf, Jarnkrok and we even heard that Liljegren could still be traded earlier.

  21. Hoardzunit

It is a little weird. They like him enough to sign him but didn’t like his two year original contract? Tells me they’re not fully confident in Jani’s ability.

  22. GWsublime

This feels like a bad signing? Why risk nit being able to accrue cap space for a probably injured bottom pairing dman when you already have a fairly solid d line up?

  23. specialk554

For cap accrual: does it make sense to send down and run a skinnier roster in order to accrue extra cap for the deadline or does it not accrue enough? Like if we run 12 and 6 plus 2 goalies as the only players in the roster in order to hold extra cap space.
