It’s Naslund and it ain’t close

Hard to argue against Naslund and Tanti statistically, but I say Petey

Naslund… but honorable mention to Brock. Before his wrist injury(s). his shot reminded me a ton of Sakic. He still has a great shot, but it just doesnt seem quite what it was

  4. Bubbiesacat

Naslund was so nasty from the top of the circle down. On the current team JT Miller has a wicked wrist shot. Honourable mention to Hodgson’s wrist shot in game 8!

  5. MooseMalloy

Naslund had one of the all time great wrist shots. It was often compared to Joe Sakic’s, which was as good as it got.

Naslund. IIRC he was one of the last players to use a wood stick… he might’ve been the last.

Bure had two 60 goal-seasons, and they weren’t all breakaways like we always see in the highlights.

I saw him beat Patrick Roy 5-hole from just inside the blue line.

  8. sandiercy

Naslund but EP40 has a very accurate shot. I remember Petey having some crazy snipes during his rookie season.

Naslund’s wrister was easily the most deadly for goalies. Salo’s slapper was the most deadly for anyone who tried to block it.

As an honourable mention, Jiri Slegr had an absolute *bomb* from the point in his early years, too. He was just way too wild with it.

I always was on the edge of my seat when Naslund had the puck on the hashes, and Bertuzzi up front screening.

  11. Away-Security-7689

Markus Naslund, with honourable mentions to Bure, Mogilny, Salo and Petterson 👌

  12. Kind of a weird choice but I’m going with Jiri Slegr.

The Naslund wrister has claimed many lives. A thing of legend.

Wait- the guy whos shot a coach labelled a “muffin” didn’t make weakest shot? Yikes.

  15. As a fan who started watching around 2008, I feel like all of my sure-fire answers are wrong since so many legends played before that era.

This is a tough one. Salo and Aucoin had cannons. Bure had a cannon of a shot but I think he mostly used a slapper. Naslund’s wrister was insane. Petey has a great shot and he gets both power and accuracy out of his wrister and slapper. I’m going with petey.

    tl;dr Petey

seconding what others have said –
naz for wristers, salo for slappers.
