Maybe, but we don’t know what Marchessault was willing to accept in a new contract. You can want to keep a player all you want, but if 2 sides sit down and can’t agree on a number and term, these things happen.
Who would have thought the knights has no loyalty considering they bring in guys to play for a year to two years and if you are lucky three
c'mon jonathan, you've been there since day 1. you know what they're like.
The only loyalty in the NHL is the almighty American dollar, “it’s a business” 😂
I wish my Canucks thought like that. Never should have resigned the Sedins or Burrows.
Say good knight vegas 😂
Finally someone says it
Jesus, why are we still talking about this? Vegas saw a 5'9" aging 33 year old Marchy who's bound to slow down over the next couple of years and didn't want to invest in an expensive 5 year contract. It makes sense from a GM point of view that Vegas would want to put that money somewhere else and Marchy ended up getting his 5 year deal as well so this very much seems like a win-win for both parties. But for Marchy to say that Vegas is 'unloyal' simply because he felt entitled to retire in Vegas is also pretty laughable. Vegas had him for 7 years, he became a top player on the team and brought them a cup in the process. So, not sure what the problem is here, move on ffs…
Might turn some future players away just like Tampa this year with Stammer
bro make a video about demidov playing 4 games in the khl and scoring zero goals 🤣🤣
they really said this guy was generational lol
Vegas getting a team is of the worst things to ever happen
Vegas and the NY Rangers will always be blessed by top tier talent that always gives them a shot purely on the standpoint of that's where the player and/or his wife thinks it would be an exciting and fulfilling place to live and work. No matter how badly they treat players, another wave of talent will always give them a shot just because of the off-ice lifestyle and fame. It is what it is. You can't blame a GM for recognizing and taking advantage of that. Arizona/Utah cannot offer what those two teams can offer. It's about money yes. But it's also about off-ice lifestyle.
