Don’t sign him officially. Give him a mysterious mask and a slouch hat and send him out on the ice as a masked avenger to mete out justice as needed, dishing out bone shaking hits. When the officials attempt to stop him, he can disappear in a cloud of smoke with a sinister laugh. Then dare the NHL to put a stop to what would be the greatest thing the NHL has seen in generations.

If Matt still wants to stick around an NHL team and won’t be caught up about playing time, then I’m happy for him to be here. Understandable if Clutterbuck isn’t ready for that.

It hurts the soul letting these two go, I love them both so much, but it is time. We need to get younger and faster. Clutterbuck I have zero doubt will get picked up somewhere. Matty I would hope is considering retirement and I think the Isles org would find a way for him to have a job with us tbh

I would rather have clutter back than Martin. I imagine the PTO is like just incase we lose someone for the season or to let him audition for another team?
