Alkaline water….hmmmm. the body constantly maintains homeostasis, balancing pH to very small decimal ppint all on its own. Without drinking alkaline water. Sports drinks, electrolytes I get. Krug has said his condition is arthritis of subtalar joint secondary to fracture sustained during the 2018 playoffs. He’s getting a subtalar joint fusion (screws going across the joint between the calcaneus and talus to fuse them together and eliminate all the pain he has from the arthritis in that joint)…unsure if he’ll be able to play again afterwards but certainly would be awesome if he can make it back. He’s a tough guy and his heart is clearly broken that this could be a career-ender, but I think he’s not giving up yet until he heals and sees what kind of range-of-motion and skating ability is possible. And good on the Blues for honoring the contract and giving Krug every chance to make it back and play again, even if odds are very slim.
