I’m going with Alain vigneault since we seemed to just win with him as coach. Honorable mentions to Roger Neilson, and if Rick Tochett has success for several more years he will be up there

  2. Alain Vigneault

Turned the team from struggling to make the playoffs into a presidents trophy winner and Stanley Cup favourite within 5 years

  3. 3 hat Pat was a good pick in the early 90s. If Tochett puts together a couple of more seasons like the last one he will easily take top spot.

The top three are the ones that got us to the finals, Vigneault, Quinn and Nielsen. Hopefully Tocchet can make it a Rushmore, but he hasn’t yet.

Pat Quinn would win in a landslide if it were a competition for the best quotes, but Vigneault coached us when our team was the class on the NHL.

The Big Irishman. He established what it meant to be a Canuck. He always had firm control of the locker room. Even when he wasn’t behind the bench. AV is 2nd because he lost the room to celebrity status egos. Pat Quinn, end of story.

Tough one. Despite not finding a way to adapt to the Bruins in 2011, I’ll say Vigneault.

  8. I’m torn between AV and Pat. Excited to see if Tocchet can get himself in consideration for the list.

  9. Alain Vigneault.

    Pat Quinn #2.

    Roger Nielson #3

Depending on the future Rick may be in the conversation, but it’s too early right now

Roger Neilson did more with less talent than the AVs and Pat Quinns ever did.

I really hope Tocc makes this age like milk, there always seems to be a lack of ego when he’s coaching. Also, seeing him usually being known as a coach who constantly loses in the first round and then winning a series this year is kind of heartwarming to me.

Anyway, Pat 1 (Quinn) gets my vote, he was such a great all-around guy.

Yeah, it’s Vigneaut. The team around 2011 ran like a well-oiled machine. Everyone gave their best. You need a great head coach to pull that off. I also have to give credit to Pat Quinn, Roger Nielson, and there is an emerging case for Tocchet.

It’s Pat Quinn. AV was great but he also had great teams. Quinn for a lot out of merely good teams.

100% AV. Canucks were one of, if not the best team in the league under his tenure.
