For the life of me, I cannot wrap my brain around Lanning NOT having time to see Brown's foot coming from no less than 4-5 feet out before being planted square in his stupid face…. Then again, kickers don't have to be very bright or physically sharp….. They just need to know how to kick a football. He will forever be known the most for eating Brown's foot even if he became the greatest kicker to ever play the game. He's the guy that ATE it.
Lanning should have stayed down and milked the situation all he could… Chances are he could have come out of it with some kind of 6-7 figure settlement or restitution payoff….
Not impossible at all to make those far reaching one handed fully extended catches when the "stickum" sprayed on the gloves is strong enough to rip the hair off a man's leg if grabbed.
