Did Clayton Keller Spill the Beans on Utah’s Permanent Name? | SLC Puck! Ep. 41

First, it was Austin Facer. Then it was GMBA, General Manager Bill Armstrong. Now, it’s Clayton Keller. All are saying they think they know which of the finalists will be Utah Hockey Club’s permanent name after this season. Hockey is here! The Rookie Faceoff is underway in LA, which puts us just one week out from the start of NHL preseason. Also, on the show, Austin gives a new conspiracy about the future of hockey in Southern Utah.

  1. I think yeti is super boring. I think outlaws sounds better and gives us an edge of being badass. I think your theories are spot on there Austin. It's going to happen

  2. I think that also they're going to do build a rink down there to try and drag away all the golden knights fans away from Vegas and keep fans in state

  3. the teams Jerseys for fans are said not to come by Jan or Feb do we as fans get the team name by then

  4. Too many minor league (past and present) and amateur teams named Outlaws in all sports. Talk about boring and unoriginal. Utah Yeti rolls off the tongue perfectly.

  5. No marketing. No gimmicks. The ON ICE product is just going to have to speak for itself. Hope they can pull it off!

  6. Here’s my prediction and it’s a bold one but I think the Grizzlies will be sold, moved and rebranded then Ryan Smith will purchase the Grizzlies name logo and branding rights and name the UHC the Grizzlies with the current black, white and mountain blue color scheme. I know it’s not part of the official name ideas on the survey but I think they’ll work it in somehow. It would be perfect because the Grizzlies have such a strong presence in the state for a minor league team
