This year isn't about making the playoffs. It's about making a jump with the core players, seeing progress up and down the depth chart from prospects in Montreal, Laval and so forth, shedding some more of the lingering MB contracts, and setting themselves up for a draft with loads of draft capital.
the Habs lost over 30 one goal games last year – that means they are ALREADY competitive…. adding Laine and getting a bit more consistency out of Slafkovsky and just 15 more goals from the bottom 6 and …. 20 of those lost games become wins and the Habs are in the playoffs….
What do you want them to say? They didn't even had a full practice together yet. We don't know the lines yet, is anyone healthy, who are the rookies that are going to play? Of course they are in the mix. At first glance they are better than last season. Is it gonna be enough? Who knows? But they have to play to win, that's the mindset they have to keep
Aaa as a habs fan I am tired of hearing what ifs. Let the season start and we will see. From my observation of last season they have a chance but nothing is yet known
Isn't another way of describing recent history "They are only 4 season away from being in the Cup finals" I think people are really under estimating the internal improvement especially on defence. To me the major issue will be how the goaltending holds up. I am not sold on our tandem but if one of them really steps up, we will be in the hunt by the trade deadline.

Looks like a green screen. It so still in the background lol
Nope, Laine is a no show most games and plays the game scared.
Hab-nots. They are not good enough. They should stay on the golf course.

no, this team is horrible.
Losers, they build a team for the playoffs. Winners are building for the cup.

People are seriously sleeping on the Habs.
