No Deal Yet: Jeremy Swayman won’t start training camp with teammates: A Locked on #NHLBruins #Shorts
Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman will not be a participant at training camp when on ice activities begin on Thursday, as confirmed by general manager Don Sweeney here today.
This is Ian McLaren, host of Locked on Boston Bruins, and while there seemed to be some momentum gathering for Swayman signing a new contract before the start of camp, Don Sweeney quickly put some water on that smoke here today, saying nothing is imminent and reports to the contrary are inaccurate.
Swayman will therefore not have a contract heading into training camp and will not be there.
And let’s be honest, facing the possibility of opening the season with Joonas Korpisalo an Brandon Bussi as the Bruins tandem is borderline disastrous considering how much the team has relied on the success from Swayman and his previous partner Linus Ullmark, in the past.
