How do these writers have jobs?

Marked the end of the tear down/demolition maybe… not the rebuild.

Konecny’s hand looks a lot different in the thumbnail

This fan base, myself included, is going to drive itself insane simply trying to agree on a definition of the word “rebuild.”

    Spot on.

The rebuttal will be “But Briere said from the beginning that they were never tearing it down to the studs!” as if that justifies half-assing *another* organizational plan.

Article doesn’t talk about trading Hayes, trying to trade Sanheim, and the way they talk about Walker is a post hoc rationalization. I wouldn’t consider the rebuild over until we actually have cap space, meaning Risto, Hayes’s buyout, and probably Deslauriers are gone.

Also Konecny’s contract now needs to be viewed in the light of the cap going up in the near future. Comparing it to Crosby’s when they’re at 2 different stages in their careers makes no sense and most agree Konecny would have gotten more in free agency. Though there are some valid points here and there.
