Ole Miss vs. Georgia Southern PREDICTIONS | 2024 College Football Predictions

Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview and share their predictions for Georgia Southern’s trip to Ole Miss and analyze the matchup. Thoughts include:

– The Rebels’ Henry Parrish and Jaxson Dart lead a rushing offense that’s been unstoppable so far (a sack-adjusted 7.4 yards per rushing play).

– Dart is putting up Heisman-Trophy-like numbers through the air, too, as the Rebels average an SEC-high, sack-adjusted 10.3 yards per pass play thanks to the talented pass-catching team of Tre’ Harris, Jordan Watkins, Juice Wells, Caden Prieskhorn and Parrish.

– Ole Miss’s defense is holding opponents to a sack-adjusted average of 1.7 yards per rush–which also leads the SEC–thanks to Walter Nolen and Princely Umamielen, Chris Paul Jr. and others.

– Georgia Southern allows 6.9 yards per rushing play (adjusted for sacks).

– The Eagles are led by coach Clay Helton, who’s worked closely with Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin before.

– Helton’s passing attack is led by quarterback JC French as well as receivers Dylan Cobb and Derwin Burgess III.

– Georgia Southern has struggled to run the ball, as leading rusher Jalen White averages 3.1 yards per carry.

  1. Gotta think the under is the play here. Expect the Rebs to jump out to a lead and pump the brakes. I have doubts that LK wants to run up the score on his friend Clay

  2. Ole Miss had an ugly game against WF. Lots of penalties and errors. Hopefully they got those mishaps out of their system when they start getting into some of the tougher games. Defense was impressive against WF even though a few drives, the Rebel's defense moved WF's offense down the field with penalties but then held them to field goals. They have been fun to watch.

  3. I've attending Georgia Southern games over the last 3 years and watching the ones I couldn't and Southern on defense is really all over the place and not in a good way I like them great kids but Ole Miss shouldn't even be letting them in the game now if Southern gives them a problem Southern might be better than I think but if not Ole Miss got some issues.
