Nylander at center is delusional at this point.
Marner wasn't a C in junior. He played wing for London alongside Dvorak and Domi. His D+1 they tried him at center for a bit during the season but ultimately stuck on the wing. Hes never played a full season at C in juniors. Willy played C all the time when he was younger and even in the AHL he was playing C.
Rogers owning the leafs isnโt bad in abstract. Itโs the repeated failure of our government to stop or even slow monopolistic moves. Itโs infuriating and a major factor is every single issue CDNs are facing on a daily basis. This is bigger than MLSE. Itโs a signal we donโt understand the root cause of anything.
Toronto sports fans will settle for nothing less than the big 4.

remember JTs 3rd line stint last year? he was much more effective as a skilled 3rd line cycle type player with mcmann with less difficult matchups. hes just not productive enough 5v5 to be a 2nd line center anymore imo. and i think his defensive play is pretty overrated, the past few years hes been a turnover machine.

I really enjoyed Adam's segment on the dynamics of MLSE. Knowing that Adam has worked for both BCE and Rogers, it's interesting to learn about some of things he's heard. It may not be as thrilling as breaking down a trade but the drama at the board level does seem like a very plausible explanation for why the Leafs and Raptors seem extremely resistant to anything but surface level changes.
Really weird how sdp disingenuously talks about the wings, spends a whole segment on their RFAs and how them being in Europe so they won't be signing soon, the very same day Raymond signs his contract, and the next podcast there's not a single word about the contract despite major contracts being a consistent thing they cover when they get signed across the league.
Maybe Mitch is really bad at faceoffs, so they never tried him there. Cause he has the hockey sense and the skating.. I have no source on mitch being bad at face offs but why else not try him there

5:22 Man guys dont change. One of the reasons I like this podcast is its clear its a bunch of bros hanging out. A lot of podcasts have a very professional vibe to them which is good but also it feels like they say they're friends but u dont know if they are where here its clear they're a bunch of guys who do geniunely like each other.
