The answer for worst shot is probably some stay at home defenseman, but Marc-Andre Cliche had a 2.2% shooting percentage for us over 2 years. That sucks, so he’s my vote.

I love him, but Sam Girard can’t get it past the shins of the guy in front of him
That or probably Patrick Bordeleau

I take offense to Miska!!! Worst shot maybe Wood?
hiritomo
Greg Zanon. For some reason I just remember him cranking shots straight into the boards.
RMoysters33
Fedor Tuytin, granted you need to actually shoot to have a bad shot.

I have to say. For a defense that has skill and shots. Sam Girard is just awful. Aside from undersized and offensive minded. His shot is awful.

Scott Hannan and Nico Sturm come to mind for me

Kerfoot. Always an absolute muffin to the logo.

Remember hearing it a lot in 2018-2020 ish but can’t think whom, this is a tough one

Blake Comeau not shooting on a breakaway is the worst “shot” I’ve seen in Avalanche history

What were the goalie counts?
poetryinemotion
He’s not #1 because Cliche is the answer but I feel like Jost needs a shoutout in this section. Not having a shot killed his chances of developing into what they thought he could be.
mastergriggy
Ryan Graves? Likes to shoot at the boards from the point.
andobodando
I gotta say Girard. He winds up and slaps at a speed that’s slower than a youth’s wrister and it doesn’t make it past the slot or just love taps the goalie in the crest. It’s the ED of slap shots. Can’t get it up and excite anyone even himself

Ryan Smyth, considering the money paid, took some of the ugliest shots in club history.

Matt Hunwick could really be worst shot or worst defenseman. Without looking it up I feel like I watched a lifetime of bad hockey from that dude during some dark years.

Steve Reinprecht. Dude would deke someone out of their shorts and then miss high every. Single. Time.

The lowest shooting% in team history is Matt Hunwick with 1.7% shooting. 3 Goals on 172 shots, so my vote is for him.
Villenemo
Scott Parker was abysmal. Esp when he came back to the Avs the second time.
But also, Jeff Odgers acted like he’d never even seen a puck before, and had no clue what to do with it once it landed on his stick.

There is a lot of recent bias in here. The winner should clearly be someone who was a plug and used the shitty wood sticks in the late 90s.
