It's the term that's the issue. That Leon raise and the wallet massage we'll have to perform for Bouch won't come cheap next year and if Emberson does well (depending on how many games he plays) he's a group 6 UFA next year (must play 50 games more I think) and that could bite us too. The year after is WORSE. It's Connor's extension kicking in (yeah, I'm hopeful), Stu Skinner, Ekholm, Arvidsson, Kane, Henrique, Podkolzin, Kulak, and Stecher (oh yeah, and Pickard though I'm hopeful one of the youngies from the AHL can make the leap by then). While some of these folks will probably price themselves out of the team or be not appealing for Cap or other reasons a lot of them will still be quite valid "IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT". I haven't even mentioned Connor Brown, Jeff Skinner, or Derek Ryan (or Corey Parry) as some of these guys will be hitting 40 and we have enough veteran presence without them and the others are here for a cup this year and the bag after that somewhere else as we can't afford it here.
