  1. I think he s worth a late 1st . He’s a good kid ,however I think he’s the weakest link on our blue line. That’s only cause we’re stacked. He think he ld be better for another team that’s in need of a righty. I do however feel that s a trade we did lose in.

  2. I think Mailloux is ahead of Barron. Only thing is Barron can't be send down to Laval and Mailloux yes

  3. offensively he has one of the highest degrees but never was near the top so overlooked by more high profile players. montreal r in an area of 2 many good defenders and will end up helping other organizations big time….

  4. I’ll be quiet surprised if they can get a 1st, probably a couple later picks or a forward prospect

  5. I dont think Barron fetches a first. I think we'll get a second rounder for him. Production-wise, he matches the other deal but he has proven to be an absolute liability defensively at least twice per night. The points he produces are not worth the shakiness he injects in the blueline. If we go one for one for a second round pick, I would be happy with that. It is tough to say though becasue he could become a 15-goal scorer and a solid depth offensive defenseman over 82 games, which would absolutely be worth the 1st rounder.

  6. Only bad trade, but Lekonen would never get 60 points in Mtl 30 something. Baron on a 1st pp l think xan get 40 points, dont right him off, just no place for him in Mtl.

  7. Habs are lacking in NHL level RD. Barron has shown he can play at the NHL level and has some good offensive instincts. He's still young. Savard is on the last year of his contract and likely gets traded but even if he stays with the Habs, he's not going to get a long extension due to his age. They'll keep Barron until they've built up their RD prospects at the very least. This upcoming season is definitely the most critical for Barron. It'll give the Habs a good look at him and evaluate his future potential. It's his spot to lose. But I hope he proves to be at least a good 3rd pairing D (that would be a bit underwhelming compared to what Habs traded for him but it'd at least be decent). Doesn't Crosby think really highly of him? I hope Crosby was not wrong about Barron.

  8. The canadiens need to fix their roster and their pick pool.

    – I would trade picks next year for more picks in the future.
    – I would 100% trade a defencemen now. There is way to many and he has to clear waivers 🙁

  9. Maillioux Wifi Struble will rotate as 3rd pair is my guess. Until Savard gets traded. Then I believe you will see Maillioux move next to Hutson and Reinbacher called up.
