There is a BATTLE brewing…

The Anaheim Ducks have a fascinating goalie battle brewing between Lukas Dostal and John Gibson. One is looking to solidify his future, while the other is fighting to prove he’s still got it. With expectations set high for both, it’s shaping up to be a 1a/1b situation, but what does that mean for the season? I break down what to expect from both goalies, discuss the Ducks’ depth concerns, and touch on their recent signing of Oscar Dansk. Plus, who might step up if injuries hit the crease? Let’s dive into all that and more in this video! #nhl #anaheimducks

  1. Problem with Gibson is one moment he will stand on his head and make a huge save, the next he lets in a terrible goal that should have never gone in. Way too inconsistent. Dostal has been more consistent and steady in net.

  2. The only huge problem I see with Dostals game is dealing with the opposing team having the puck being behind his net. For some reason he seems to really have issues moving to the correct side on time.

Aaaaand Gibson is still my goalie.

  3. 2 great goalies battling out to see who will be the top guy in Anaheim I love this little competition between them can’t wait to see what happens as always LETS GO DUCKS

  4. Not even close… Dostal is it, peeps. Put him number one with a slightly improved defense in front of him and let the sparks fly.

  5. I believe the only thing holding up a trade for John Gibson, would if the Ducks are willing to retain some salary, which they don't appear to be willing to do.

  6. I don't like the Dansk signing, I prefer the young prospects as a third option but I understand this signing.

  7. I think Gibson still has it, just has been abused over the years. Needs to stay healthy and maybe them splitting time down the middle may be better for him
