  1. This gives the canucks options either to find lankienin a new home come trade deadline or even go into the playoffs with 3 goalies which they needed last year.

  2. my opinion here is that they made this move by the pressure of uncertainty, they have confidence he'll be fine but do not want to rush him, that they believe in this forward group to hold their own to let demko take the necessary actions and time to come back as healthy as can be. my prediction would be the latest demko would be out would maybe be the christmas break and if he's back on track then they can make the decision to move lankinen come trade deadline or keep him as depth in case catastrophe occurs for the team.

  3. THE POPLITEUS MUSCLE..Is what Demko injured… located in the deep posterior compartment of the leg, specifically in the posterior aspect of the knee joint near the lateral femoral condyle..It helps to stabilize the knee joint and plays a role in unlocking the knee during walking.

  4. The Canucks are in win now mode, so after all the work they did in the offseason they don't want to roll the dice on their goaltending this season the way a lot of other teams seem to be all right with.

  5. Demko is wayyy too injury prone to be considered a consistent and reliable starter, especially when it matters. He's only been the #1 for about 2-3 seasons and has yet to have an injury-free year. As a Canucks fan it's kinda concerning and with the dearth of backups we've had in recent years: Holtby, Halek, Martin, Delia who's shown flashes but nothing long-term I fear the same is being projected onto Silvos. He looks good, but are we reading too much onto him too soon ?
