I am sure Torts wants Luchanko on the team for the full season. It looks like he’d be a top 3 center on the team already.
It’s Briere and Jonesy’s job to tell him too bad, it doesn’t matter about what’s best for the team this season. It matters what’s best for the development of a player. No short-sighted victories of “He makes the team better now, so we are keeping him for the season”

Lot of golf talk. I like that Torts didn’t sell out any player in regards to Danny’s question about conditioning, but it is “tv” so I can’t say for certain there wasn’t a moment that didn’t make the cut for morale reasons. I don’t fault them if that is the case. It would not be cool to throw a player under the bus in front of cameras. Although, Felix Sandstrom was the casualty of live tv.
