Lauko has solidified the 4LW spot for me.
The real question is who’s the 13th forward? Boyd?
Super stoked about how preseason has looked. Pretty clear Merrill is the 7th defenseman.
You know how you get 4 year contracts to 30 something year old players? Nobody really stood out that wasn’t on the roster already, really. Too many missed passes through the neutral zone, no bite or snap. Cecconi, Clarke, Jones had spots. Lauko was the only player not to have worn a wild sweater prior that seemed like a sure shot at the roster.
Clarke looked pretty good had a few nice plays in the offensive zone
Lauko looked good, oghren’s skating was really sloppy, Chisholm was subtle yet good. I’m aware Dallas had most of its squad playing tonight and the wild only had a few, but Gus was……well ick. He made some.g9od once, but was not tracking the puck well at all
I was really hoping to see Hlavaj for a period
I liked what I saw out of most of our offense.
Lauko, Clarke, Haight and Boyd all looked good and noticeable when they were out there.
Khusnutdinov looks really good, dude seems faster than I remember and is constantly just pressuring whoever has the puck immediately.. seems really frustrating to play against.
Didn’t see anything special out of Ohgren but I also didn’t seem him do anything bad. Same thing with Heidt.
