  1. That was a GREAT game for the Caps. I'm curious if Vrana has done enough to earn one more day? Thompson looked good. Duhaime Dowd and Raddysh looked like a great line

  2. It was an entertaining game. Funny how the refs swallowed the whistle compared to the montreal devils game that had 456 penalties lol

  3. To get good defensive stats the Devils need good defensive players. They are lacking defensive forwards and especially defensive D-men. Markström is a gigantic goalie, and like big goalies do, he needs the seam passes blocked. Big goalies and high danger shots don't usually mix well. You are not supposed to block pucks in preseason games, but I still feel this will be an issue even when the season begins.

  4. Casey might be playing himself all the way to Prague if he keeps having games like he had this week. Luke and Pesce still coming back from injury and guys like DeSimone and White not impressing so much is leaving openings for Seamus Casey to work his way up the depth chart. Especially considering the glowing remarks Keefe had for him after the game when he was being vocal about his disappointment for the rest of the team’s effort. Kind of reminds me of what we would hear from the coaches about Dawson Mercer when he first made the NHL club out of his first camp.

  5. I don’t care that it’s the preseason. New year, new coach, same problems. No consistent compete level for 60 minutes, no toughness, and entire stretches of being pinned in their own end while the goalie gets peppered. Combined with an already depleted defense corps, I’m anticipating another 7th place worst case scenario.
