Team Rutherford restocked the empty prospect cupboard as best he could with some older prospects that have a shorter runway to make it in the NHL, so it's good to see some of them stepping up. PTOs on good teams are mostly there for filling out rosters for split squad exhibition games, while giving the player a chance to be seen by other teams and other leagues. I'm always pulling for the PTOs to have a good camp, but it's rare that they sign with the team.
If sprong isnāt playing with Petey on the season opener Iām gonna have some words for Tocchet.
