This was EXTREMELY scary

Filip Chytil experienced a scare during the Rangers’ preseason game against the Islanders after taking a hard hit from defenseman Scott Mayfield. He was helped off the ice, favoring his left leg, raising concerns given his history of injuries. However, Chytil returned to the game later in the first period and even scored a goal in the Rangers’ thrilling 6-4 comeback victory. His injury does not appear to be serious, allowing him to continue his strong preseason performance.

  1. glad he was okay

ALSO CAN WE GET A LOLISLES, HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO BLOW 4-1 LEADS TWICE IN THE SAME CALENDAR YEAR TO THE SAME TEAM

  2. First thing first, I hate seeing players get injured pre season or regular season, especially as a NYR fan seeing a Ranger on the ice injured is never a good feeling.
However Iā€™ve seen some people claiming that Mayfield shouldnā€™t have made that hit, or it was a big hit on a veteran, first the hit wasnā€™t hard, second that hit was as clean as you can make it, no head contact no targeting, no teeing him up from 30 feet away, about as clean of a open ice hit as you can possibly make, Chytil got his leg hit just right to cause a minor injury, it was unlucky in every sense of the word.

  3. Kinda not apart of the point, but, what was that isles player trying to do? Take out his own guy and give the rags a free 4 on 3?
God I hate the isles, I have no idea how they're allowed to be so boring and irritating at the same time. Feel bad for their fans never having a competitive team, but man their ownership sucks booty juice.

  4. ill never understand these types of things in preseason. its preseason.why are coaches playing players prone to injury or are for sure gonna make the lineup?

  5. I love Chytil but that many concussions is not a good sign. Small hit could trigger something which is really scary.

  6. And then he comes back to score a goal. Heā€™s looked strong this preseason. I can imagine heā€™ll do really well centering Kakko and Cuylle

  7. Career done with 4 concussions?
How much of a soy boy are you?
Sorry but, it sounds like you've broken a nail or two in the past.
Also wow, this was insanely pointless!
    Geez.
Wish I had my fuckin time back!

  8. They need to punt on Chytil and stop trying to make him a thing. He's always a victim. Now guys are being hurt defending his honor. Lot of trouble for a guy who has never eclipsed 45 points in a season.
