A Strong Start for the Canadiens
The Canadiens secured an impressive 5-0 victory over the Flyers, featuring five different scorers: Tuch, Savard, Heineman, Barre-Boulet, and Anderson. Kapanen contributed with two assists, while Hutson and Roy each added an apple. Goaltenders Primeau and Dobes combined for a stellar shutout, stopping all shots faced.

Kapanen had 2 assists, was best/strong on face-offs, skates and puck handles strong, moves the puck well…he should have been 1st star. Hutson got caught a few times getting back defensively, took a double minor and again I didn't notice him skate backwards defending the Flyers rush he was always chasing…did get an assist and forced a couple turnovers but to me wasn't the 1st star. Good team effort, Barre-Boulet is a motor skater, Kapanen, Roy, Heineman stood out.

Hi Coach, I'm not going to write about Kapanen today as we had great chat last night on your live show. Regarding Demidov, I am not overly concerned with his minutes given he is just starting out in the KHL. He also needs a few more games to establish consistency.

It was great seeing Montreal win, but I am not getting too excited. I looked through the Flyers' lineup and it looks like many of those players are never going to make the NHL, at least not full time. Hopefully the Canadiens can keep rolling tonight 🎉
Kapanen needs to stay in the NHL/AHL. I think he can be a solid contributor this year.
