  1. jesse trying to hype up the bee dard, failor hall…by the time he's at brossoit it's like.. this is your brain on drugs

  2. If you think this is a playoff team you can just cancel the pod and the rest of the preveiws, your credibilty is gone and you no longer deserve a voice on these topics.

  3. There is no chance of the Blackhawks making the playoffs. Defense and goaltending are pants, and the only teams in the west who made the playoffs last season who got worse are vegas and (arguably) the kings.

  4. If Bedard breaks out this year and gets 100+ points they MAY make the playoffs, but it would be tough. I think Chicago is just not tanking this year. They want a top 10 pick in the draft, but not a top 3. They also have some nice trade chips at the deadline that will bring in some draft picks and prospects

  5. Your sample size for generational talent making the playoffs in their second season is two guys. Plus, you're confusing correlation and causation. Just because both McDavid and Crosby made the play-offs in their second year doesn't mean their status as generational prospects was the reason that happened. You have to look at the secondary scoring and depth, which I just don't see. You probably need someone to put on at least 75+ points and another couple players to put up 50+.

  6. I do think the Hawks were a bit better than their record said last year but they are definitely not making the playoffs

  7. Love Jessies enthusiasm for my Hawks! If we can get off to a hot start I think its possible. My only concerns would be injuries. Hall probably will get hurt again. Arie is already hurt and missing a few weeks, and LB is already going to miss a few weeks. Hopefully Bedard takes that step. As a STH i would love for the hawks to roll. But either way its going to be a fun team to watch at the UC! LETS GO HAWKS!

  8. Here’s the deal

I lived in Chicago last season, I went to 10 games last year. Bedard didn’t record a goal or a point in the games I watched

To be very fair, he’s an engaging player and it was hard not to notice him and I know that he will be special and that people will look at this fact and laugh in the distant future

This team will get better, Broissaint is better, but they have to do better at home. This year ain’t their year for a post season, but a time when they crush the hearts of other central division opponents like the early 2010’s are on the horizon

  9. Jesse buddy cmon the hawks are gonna be a better non playoff team but not playoffs yet. if they do I’d be shocked

  10. The situations are so diff, Crosby had better pieces in place and Malkin and Fluery, McDavid had prime Hall, Eberle, Nuge, Talbot, Etc. Bedard has no one on that level still the hawks are not making the playoffs lol

  11. Jesse… The central has the Avs, Jets, Stars and the Preds. I think the most likely out of the four I listed to drop to fifth are the Jets, and even that is a STRETCH and a half. I can see them finishing 5th with some luck on their side. Now the funny thing is, imo they could still make the playoffs like that since the pacific is lookin kinda thin, you have the top three of EDM, VGK, and VAN, and then the rest. There is actually a semi-realistic scenario where the hawks get more points than the kings for example, but everything would have to go absolutely right for them.

  12. I get the point of the Hawks being better, but are they better than the Stars, Preds, Avs, Utes, and Jets?

  13. This Preds fan hopes that the Hawks remain in the doldrums for the next decade with a first round pick record like that of the Oilers…short of a McDavid. 😅
