Michael Pezzetta TRADE To The NJ Devils Is Not Happening!

There is a Rumor Going around That Renaud Lavoie mentioned that the Montreal Canadiens could be trading Michael Pezzetta to the NJ Devils. He mentions on a segment of a show that the New Jersey Devils have been looking at Pezzetta for some time and could be looking to acquire him.
I wanted to do a video on this because I highly doubt this happens. GM Tom Fitzgerald of the New Jersey Devils has done a good job of bringing in those type of players that offer more of a physical role like Paul Cotter, Stefan Noesen, and last season and extending Macdermid.
The Devils basically have their lines set and don’t see any spots available for them to bring in Pezzetta.

  1. I think the Devils should pass on Canadiens left winger Michael Pezzetta and trade Jake Allen, Seamus Casey, Arseni Gritsyuk, Topias Vilen, and 2024 and 2025 4th-rounders to the Bruins for a 2025 conditional 3rd-rounder and a 2026 5th-rounder.

  2. No, thank you. The Devils already have a one dimensional player who could score if his life depended on it in Nate Bastian. Unless Montreal is willing to take Palat, I am not interested.

  3. It's possible. We have an open reserve forward spot on our roster right now. Maybe LaBanc isnt impressing on his PTO or asking for than our cap space and we don't think any of the youth look ready.

Thing is we are carrying MacDermod for goon nights and I wouldn't think us interested in filling a spot with another fighter, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Fitz executed the trade for Allen and Kovacevic with Kent Hughes and we often see GM's who develop relationships continue to make deals.

I had the first initial reaction, but wouldn't be quite as dismissive. I still think you are probably right

Can't wait for the season to begin!
