  1. There are no words to describe this! Thoughts and Prayers seem very little things but it's all I've got now. (I also rage at the criminal stupîdity of driking and driving)

  2. Two amazing men lost their lives because of a selfish asshole… I hope the courts throw the book at him

  3. imo it’s crazy to me that people seriously think it’s okay to pick up the keys after drinking, especially today when it’s so easy to just call an uber or lyft. the actions of that driver warrant nothing but the harshest punishment possible. was that really worth two people’s lives? rip johnny and matthew gaudreau, they their families deserved so much better.

  4. i cant believe this. I just finished literally crying to this legend, i never even enjoyed him that much but, this guy had kids, he had good sportsmanship, Johnny Hockey will forever be a legend in hockey and i hope him and his brother can rest in peace.

  5. I had the read the headline multiple times this morning. It just didn't compute for me. A day before his sister's wedding too. Tomorrow is not promised…cherish everyday.

  6. First Matiss Kivlenieks in 2021
    Now Johnny Gaudreau in 2024
Such heartbreaking stuff for the Columbus Blue Jackets, his family, and the fans of hockey.
"Johnny Hockey" will always be remembered by hockey fans all around the world.

  7. rest in peace johnny and mathew gaudreau.Prayers and condolences to their family and blue jackets team and fans.

  8. My heart goes out to the Gaudreau's! words cannot describe how sad I am for the family.. He will forever be missed

  9. The day before their sister’s wedding day. Just heartbreaking. The hockey community is grieving the loss of a talented young man.

  10. Drunk driving is absolutely inexcusable by every metric of the word. The complete lack of care for your fellow man you have to have to do it makes it beyond unforgiveable.

  11. I heard from somewhere that when Patrik Laine went to the program, Johnny Gaudreau picked up his challenge of donating 1000€ after every goal. Truly a great human being. Fly high, both Johnny and Matthew.

  12. Well said. For any family to lose 2 brothers seems crushing. My best wishes & regards go to the 2 lads family & friends!

  13. The driver should be charged with murder. There are no excuses in today's day and age for drink driving. It simply doesn't need to happen and the risks are well known. As for the Gaudreau family… I am at a loss for words. My thoughts are with you, as they are with all Jackets fans and fans of Johnny Hockey. What a tragedy

  14. That’s why I never bike near vehicles and traffic, because you can’t trust them not to ram into you, you’re in danger all the time

  15. Man this fr is the most saddest death in nhl history Rip Johnny hockey and Brother Matthew Please don’t drink and drive call a cab or a Uber or take the bus or have a DD but please don’t drink and drive Fly high Johnny🕊️🏒🙏

  16. Columbus was extremely excited when he signed with the team, we considered him our savior from this stink. Damn shame management never took their thumbs out of their ass to actually build around him. A wasted opportunity but I’m glad I was able to watch him play in a CBJ uniform in person, rest in peace Johnny Hockey

  17. Columbus is the most cursed franchise.

    RIP JOHNNY HOCKEY

heroes get remember but legends never die

  18. Don't drink and drive. Why is it so hard for some to understand something as easy as that?

R.I.P. to Johnny and Matthew. I can't even imagine how horrible for their loved ones it must be.

  19. Loved watching him at the dome. Great memories. Rip Matt and Johnny. ❤ 🙏 🏒 🥇 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 Boston College 🦅.

  20. This was a great tribute video for Johnny Hockey. I've read countless tributes to Johnny Gaudreau, and the one thing that stuck with me is that he had his priorities straight. Instead of living to work, he chose to work to live. While his love of hockey was truly evident (you don't get the nickname Johnny Hockey for nothing), he was first and foremost a family man. He played hockey in order to provide the best life for his family, and that sums up his legacy right there. R.I.P. Johnny Gaudrau.

  21. RIP to both of them. My belief is they're up in heaven playing hockey with the greats who came before them in the hockey world. also great choice of memorial music at the end, I know it was originally written for the memorial of Paul Walker from the Fast and Furious movies, but it works for all memorials.
