  1. Would make him the highest paid Bruins goalie all time. If his goal was to reset the goalie market, then mission accomplished.

Still can’t blame him for asking for a raise, so with the Bruins Front-Office laying down the hammer, it will be how he responds to this recent news on whether he deserves the hatred. He hasn’t sabotaged this team or season

  2. I have always liked Swayman, and i feel that nearly ALL the fanbase has. However this is going to leave a sour taste if its true. 8×8 is what i personally said i thought HE would sign at.i have a ton of faith in the kid but this is a bad reflection on the person.

  3. Thanks for the video. 8 by 8 is great deal for Swayman, let’s call it what it is the kid has t won anything. When Rask got that percentage of the cap he was a back up on the Cup winning team. Also at that percentage for a goalie it takes away from money that can be spent on depth that is needed to win the Cup. Personally I would like to see him at 7mil for 8 years to allow room for some 4th line depth.

  4. It's the Bruins fault for trading Ulmark before signing Swayman. Since the contract talk would be in a better way of negotiating i feel because now Swayman knows he's the guy in Boston he has leverage over the Bruins.

  5. trade him. Wish we could have kept Ullmark and just found one of many teams out there that would over pay on Sway. I get the whole age thing and we wanted to roll w the younger guy but damn hes playing hard ball.

  6. I'll be laughing when Korpisalo starts putting up better numbers than Swayman, and Swayman loses everything. Swayman is forcing us to make trades to lower the quality of the players on the ice so that we can pay him. Now, Swayman is pissing us off, and we don't have the same respect for him that we always have. For a million more, he is pissing the fans off, pissing management off, pissing ownership off. He lost 2 playoff elimination games two years in a row. He has not proven himself and he wants to be the second highest paid goalie in the world? NOPE! We don't even have more than 8 million fu(king dollars to spend. This is bullshit.

  7. Sweeney is the one who pushed Sway into arbitration last year instead of signing a steal of a deal to lock him up. This year instead of negotiating fairly with Sways camp, he goes and signs Lindholm and Zadorov leaving only the 8.?. He thought oh there's nothing they can do but sign because I already spent the money. He went and took care of players who haven't even played a game for the team before his star goalie, who's a top 5 goalie in the league. Does this sound like Sweeney is the good guy or the bad guy. Now they're making it look like Swaymans greedy. He's fu!@ing 25 in his prime and they want him to sign a deal that off the bat pays him 25 % below his market value. On top of it the cap is set to go way up in the coming years so that 25 % is going to be 40 – 50 % in 3 or 5 years easily. Sweeney is the assho@# don't be fooled.

  8. This is a colossal oversight on the part of the entire management team. All of this. Not signing Swayman last season. Trading Ullmark and giving Swayman's agent so much leverage. Total mismanagement of this situation from the top down. P.S. Thank you for the video, as per usual

  9. I’m pretty sure at this point Swayman just wants to be traded. He’s still upset about what was said at arbitration and then the trading of Ullmark his friend.

  10. I think both side have crossed the line here.Neely is clearly frustrated and Swaymans ask is out of line. We know things got touchy during arbitration last year and here we go again. Will he relationship be able to right set itself? This getting messy and I am in the camp that it might be time to look at other options when it comes to Swayman. He is looking out for himself, while the brass is trying to take care of the player…….and the team. I am off of Sway Day.

  11. The agent did this to the Leafs and they caved. The Bruins will not. If he turned down 8, then trade him and keep the cap money.

  12. I think swayman wanting the same cap % as rask got is more then a fair ask. Swayman is the future of the team, this preseason clearly showed that Bussi and Dipetaro are not NHL ready.
I can see swayman holding out till the last minute. Fans will be pissed over anyone not "conforming" and taking a home town discount like Ray Bourque did for decades with the Bruins.
Sweeney over paid during free agency, didnt get anything in the Ullmark deal, and now will use the same excuse as he always does "we dont have the cap space to sign him". He is not as bad a peter chiarelli with the contract and cap managment, but he is the reincarnation of harry siden, build a team just good enough to make the first two rounds of the playoffs to make sure the seats get full.

  13. If that is truly the offer from the B's, I think it is more than fair. 44 games. That's effectively HALF of a regular season. This is the NHL boys, he is UNTESTED. $8 million a year for EIGHT years? I think THAT is a little crazy and Swayman is crazy if he doesn't take it. I think the per year deal may ultimately go up a bit when he signs, but the deal will get done. However, we the fans are going to be on his a** like white on rice. He had damn well perform AND help us win a cup! Will we hold this against him? Heck yeah!

  14. Trade Swayman to a basement club. Let’s really see how good he is. See if he can get a basement dweller to win the cup. Then and only then can he ask for a stupidly rich contract.

  15. …take the 8 million and get over yourself Swayman and move on… It is time to place some real NHL hockey and come together play as a team and look forward to this 2024-2025 season. Enough of the static that is going on…

  16. Sways gonna get 9 million a year for 8 years, he’s gonna get the Vezina this year and come June he’ll be hoisting the cup over his head ,… you heard it here folks ,.. place your bets now

  17. Honestly, I love this from Neely and I’ve been so far from his and Sweeney‘s biggest defenders over the years. But as I mature, I try to be a lot more patient with them and understand how difficult things are from a business perspective (the irony lol). After months and months of media gaslighting and fans accusing Boston of being cheap, I don’t think Cam as out of pocket by any means by revealing the cards here. Especially not after the dirty tactics of Swayman’s camp spreading a bunch of petty lies on Spittin Chiclets😂. Without saying much at all, he pretty much set the record straight and put tons of public pressure on Swaymans side to cave, which in my eyes is just returning the favor and quite frankly, as uncomfortable and unconventional as it may be…putting a lot of rumors to rest. Remember, Lewis Gross is an uncomfortable and unconventional agent, and this time it seems even worse because Swayman is trying to make a statement by “resetting the goalie market” in coordination with other pending free agents and star players totally unrelated to our team and its success. The Bruins have enough money to make Jeremy Swayman the fourth highest paid goaltender in the history of the world, and at the end of the day if that isn’t enough, he can see what it’s like in Utah. I, for one will find it very hard to view this player in the same light moving forward.

  18. As I have been posting, making the team out of training camp is ideal, yeah, but the real deal is sticking. Some guys come up and go down before they come back up for good…Beech and Lohrei come to mind. Some come up later and get it. Braz comes to mind. Yeah, training camp goes through the year for some players. No biggie. Just keep skating!

  19. Seems to me it’s a fair deal. Swayman has not proven himself yet. No Vezina, no cup. If you hold out for more then you are bordering greed comparing other (proven) goalies. Turning it down is stating the obvious, he does not care if he stays in Boston, and he is prioritizing money over team. Also his right.
Look where the Toronto money line gets you. I also wonder what value he places on the goalie coaching he has benefitted from by the Bruins organization.
