The reason why the Leafs player didn't get discipline from the league is because it WAS IN NO WAY INTENTIONAL!!! How you can determine it was is beyond me! Jeez Laine was doing the splits gliding down the ice and the Leafs player tried to interfere in his path but the knee on knee was 100% unintentional. You know as I do with a fine to the Habs player had they thought the Leafs player tried to hurt Laine in the preseason and who I might add isn't in the NHL they wouldn't of hesitated throwing the book of discipline at him! Get your facts right! Let me guess you are a Leafs hater, Habs or senators fan?????

Your Habs fan is showing. A dirty dirty hit. Give your head a shake. Laine has been around, he should know how not to get clobbered by now. Oh, yeah, Laine is not going to bring you the cup. It was a good move, but he wasn't ever going to be a savior. It didn't look intentional to me, at the same time, Jerkguy did not drive anyone's head into the ice nor did he use his stick. It sucks but players get injured.
I can see where u are coming from, but I totally disagree with you, arber has no right to do that that’s a goon league move and, doesn’t belong in the NHL. He should’ve been suspended 10 games plus. It is comparable to the Burtuzzi incident. Stuff like that doesn’t belong in the league it’s goon league. Knee on knee was unfortunate but not dirty. And that’s been happening a lot the past year. You know what hasn’t been happening someone getting getting jumped and mugged. Because players better than to do that.

I predict the Leafs sign Marner to a long term deal making more than Nylander but less than Matthews. The Leafs aren't far away from winning the cup, it could be this year and I personally love Marner's game. The playoffs are a team game and it's a team sport and I want great players like him on the team. It's that simple

That hit was not Dirty. It was very unavoidable at the moment in time. Wrong place at the wrong time, plus it was a Rookie with not much NHL experience, he couldn’t avoid it. If anything what Arber Xhekaj did was pretty dirty. He attempted to fight and attack a player from behind and then continued to beat and keep nailing a downed skater repeatedly. In my opinion i was surprised it wasn’t more of a Fine.
I see Arber Xhekaj getting Flamed on Social Media and other Sports Media Outlets be his classless act.
Heres a piece of advice. Stick to reporting the news and leave your personal opinions to yourself. Take it or leave it. Never gonna be able to grow a channel always getting personal digs in. He just can’t help himself.
I absolutely knew without a shadow of doubt his take on the whole Laine injury would be so incredibly biased. Some people just don’t have the ability to think critically. Let their emotions get the better of them. I mean I get it I’d be pissed too if the big UFA my team acquired was injured before the season but it was simply nothing more than an unfortunate play.
Anyone with any bit of sense knows that no player is stupid enough to extend their knee with the intent one going knee on knee. That could just as easily backfire and risk their own career. So calling this dirty is completely out of touch with reality. He sticks his knee out with the intention of preventing Laine from getting by. That’s all.
It suck’s and I feel for Laine. Can’t seem to catch a break. Was really looking forward to seeing him thrive in Montreal but I guess that all on hold. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
Can you imagine the sanctimonious howling coming out of the center of the universe (toronto) had it the names of the sweaters been Matthews and Luke Tuck, and MIA Matthew's knee been blown out. Such hypocrisy from the leaf keyboard geniuses–most of who would not know how to tie skates.
If the Leafs move on from Marner, they'll likely come to recognize that Matthews is every bit the playoff choke artist Marner is. Auston is 25th in regular season pts/60 since coming into the league, and he's 113th in playoff pts/60 during that time. Matthews, a near pure goal scorer is a career 20th in goals/60 during the regular season…and 46th in playoff goals/60 since the 2016-2017 season. Notable players ahead of Matthews in career playoff goals/60 are Silfverberg(9th), Guentzel(14th), Smith-Pelly(15th), Kyrou(17th)…etc. Both Matthews and Marner are playoff chokers and both are hugely overpaid for what they produce in the post season…Matthews is just more so.
