This shit drives me mad. Why do players who get pushed into opposing goalies get ganged up on??? Why are goalies suddenly deemed the MVPs of their teams in such a way that the slightest contact with them draws ire and conflict?
Fines and suspensions should be handed out to players that both deliberately and directly influence the momentum of an opponent in a possible clash with their goaltender. Whoever pushed McKown should be the ones to endure the repercussions of this situation.

As a coach, I don't want a player on my team that DOESN'T protect his goalie. At 1:28 you see him raise his shoulder into Thompson as he hits, clearly intending to knock him back while in his crease. The guy's lucky he left with his teeth.
