    PDG 🙁

Also rÀty still with the big club!

  2. eliarbss

Oh yeah RĂ€ty is definitely making the team now, that’s exciting. Also Bains getting another opportunity!!

Abby games are going to be fun with Lekke, D Petey and Kudry there

  3. NerdPunch

Nothing surprising here. All those players should pretty much be a lock to clear.

For some reason I thought Karlsson needed waivers.

  4. samuelmeirels

Kudryastev and Lekk deserved to make the team (considering the injuries we currently have) đŸ„Č but I’m sure some time in the A will be great for them

    PDG you will be missed

  5. carry-on_replacement

PDG is getting claimed isn’t he

  6. samuelmeirels

So who’s still part of our roster?

Raty, Aman, Bains, Friedman, Juulsen? Is there anyone else that was in the verge that I’m missing?

  7. Brodie9jackson

The following forwards are left at camp:

    – Heinen-Miller-Boeser

    – Debrusk-Pettersson-Sprong

    – Joshua-Blueger-Garland

    – Hoglander-Suter-Sherwood

    – Bains-Raty-Aman

Assuming blueger and Joshua start the year on IR, it looks like Bains and Raty have made the team with Aman as the 13th forward

  8. Kitchen-Ad8606

Raty bains Aman, juulsen Friedman still with the big club then unless I’m missing anyone?

  9. Sarcastic__

McWard being healthy enough to be assigned to Abbotsford is big given how tight the cap maneuvering will be.

  10. PDG probably will still get games if there are injuries. Atleast the forward depth is better and we don’t have a guy like PDG on the first line, no offence to him.

  11. samuelmeirels

Armchair GM here, but didn’t it make more sense to keep PDG over Bains (as he didn’t require waivers) and imho it’s not like Bains was lights out and outplayed PDG

  12. phantomgiratina

Did not think PDG would get waived especially since tocc loves to play him

  13. I remember a couple weeks ago I said PDG could probably get waived and people were saying no way

I’m a little surprised considering he was wearing an A for some preseason games, but it makes sense. We have better winger depth now, there just isn’t room for him.

He’ll go to Abby and he’ll be ready if and when we need him

  14. decentish36

I guess this means Blueger won’t be ready for opening night. Wonder how this works with the cap situation. I believe we would be over if we iced this roster on opening night without using LTIR.

  15. Final-Zebra-6370

They shipped Petey to Abby? How dare they!

  16. mcdonaldsfiletofish

I’m surprised Aman beat out PDG, Phil was looking really good in preseason.

Man I hope he makes it through waivers, dude is so underrated

  17. vision604

I feel like PDG could be claimed here… He’s a solid player.

  18. whatsyowifi

TIL there’s 2 Elias Pettersson’s on the same damn team.

  19. Ahhgotreallots

Looking forward to seeing what lekkermaki, petey, and krill do in the AHL.

It’s possible lekkermaki has a great first half and gets called up, but I’m guessing he plays a full season and then next year makes the team and challenges for a 3rd wing slot.

  20. JauntyGiraffe

I hope PDG doesn’t get claimed but he deserves some more playing time. Salute for his contributions to the team and he’ll always be part of the Sports Page “All Name Team”

  21. Rahtgooves

So stoked to watch the new guys in abby this year!

  22. Hyperocean

    Good for RĂ€ty
the right attitude and execution, at the right time.. đŸ‡«đŸ‡ź

The management has really maximized their returns on the Horvat trade. And in fact, continue to increase the value of those returns well after the actual transaction

  23. MooreGold

Lekkerimaki being sent down means we have to have close to 1.4 million in cap space to call him up because of his bonuses.

If he made opening night roster, his bonuses would be included in the bonus overage rule and his cap would be effectively only $918K even if we moved him up and down throughout the season.

Since we don’t want to use LTIR, this makes it more likely that Leki spends all season in the AHL, which is also fine.
