Jeremy Swayman’s ongoing contract negotiations with the Boston Bruins remain a major point of concern. The 25-year-old goaltender is reportedly seeking a long-term deal worth around $8 million per year. The Bruins, however, are hesitant to meet these demands due to his limited experience as a full-time starter. With the season approaching, there’s speculation that Swayman could hold out or potentially be traded if an agreement isn’t reached soon, leaving the Bruins’ goaltending situation in question.

Meanwhile, Patrik Laine of the Montreal Canadiens suffered a serious injury during a recent game. Laine was sidelined after a hit that led to a significant lower-body injury, raising concerns about his availability for the season. The team is still evaluating the extent of his recovery timeline.

  1. i dont think ive ever been more mad at a hit than i am about the laine one. that man has been through enough, literally they were just talking about how their job is to get him excited to play again and then this happens before he can even start his season? fuck the "unsportsmanly" move by xhekaj, i think i woulda reacted the same way. and its ridiculous to say pare didnt expect it or know xhekaj was coming for him – how do u lay a hit like that, possibly end a guy EVERYONE has been excited to see return's season and then pretend like you dont think ur gonna get a reckoning? like are we serious here? either pare is a weasel or hes braindead. i hate being so harsh but im kinda tired of this "but he didnt even see it coming!!" yes, he did – he just didnt want to face the consequences for his actions – we have all seen guys get laid into for less, but suddenly now this is totally unexpected? what are we even talking about?????? like pk said, i think this shit is so disrespectful its insane.

  2. In Can Neely's defense, he never said the 64 million reasons were all dollars. It could be 60 million dollars and 4 million other reasons like Boston is a good city, his teammates are cool etc.
    Just sayin

  3. I have zero sympathy for players that make more in a few years than most do in a lifetime being greedy and acting out that they are being unfairly treated.

  4. Everybody seems to think trading Ullmark was stupid without signing Swayman first! I disagree!
They have 8.6 million in cap room! More than enough to sign him! The problem is the player or more so his agent are asking 9-10 plus million for a guy that has “potential “ to be great?? Let this sink in.. His nhl record is 79-39-15 period! Plus a decent 2nd round exit! He’s asking 9 plus million for 8 years! I heard even 10?? Are you kidding!! The Bruins offering 8 for 8 is generous! Imagine he goes in and actually plays a full season but can’t handle the workload and wets the bed! Give your heads a shake if you think he deserves even what the Bruins are willing to give him at 8 for 8

  5. fuk the gm and fuk the agent. neither is telling the truth. i am sick of greedy as fuk players who are not proven who want to get paid like stars. lock his ass out

  6. As a massive bruins fan, I think the biggest failing of this organization was giving the contract to Zadorov. Fun player to have, but too much money and completely bungled up this situation. That being said, Swayman is not going to be setting the market. That's Shesterkin's and Oettinger's jobs next offseason. Take the 8×8 now, buddy

  7. As a Bruins fan, I’m done with this bullsh*t. Sign or don’t. Yes, he’s been good, but not $10mil/yr good. Congrats, you helped beat a Matthews-less Leafs. You want $10mil? Should have played better against Florida.

  8. Soooo many goalies in the past drastically overpaid based on 1 or 2 ok seasons followed by a lights out season followed by AHL type numbers. I don’t blame Swayman for wanting the moon. If I were the Bruins, bargain in good faith but let him sit if it comes to that.

  9. Isn't he the genius GM who traded a franchise icon and a 23 year old, 6'6" right shot defense man and ended up with nothing to show for it? He was so afraid the Flames or Oilers would offer sheet Hamilton he gave him away for nothing to save himself the headache of drafting 4th or 6th overall in 2016.

    Guy is a moron.

  10. I work long hour days, so I personally appreciate your shorter videos. But I'm game if you do a weekly longer roundup whenever drama flares up in the hockey world.

  11. As someone from Utah I’m entertained that everyone jokes about drinking at the stadium and I was here knowing a draft beer is $12

  12. It dosent matter if Paré did it on perpouse. But it matters whatever Xhekaj tried to do to respond. Nice job Eck! Not biased at all.

  13. Swayman needs a new agent, and he really should consider a new team. Beef like that cannot be good, even if he ignores it for a year or two. He should be with management he loves, players he connects with, so he can have absolutely nothing in the way of him tending his goal for a cup run

  14. Hell yes, Habs fan, and it did deserve a suspension. The fine is worth about 2 shifts. But we’ll accept it. Paré deserved a tripping penalty at most. But the refs still gotta call it. It’s the way of the game. Paré should taken the challenge, and taken a few fists. That’s it, it’s over. Hockey is old school. Paré takes the fight, it’s done. Paré doesn’t take the fight; Xhekaj deals player justice, and takes his suspension/fine like a man. You step one the ice, you should know the code.
