I hope Tavares signs a team friendly contract and retires a Leaf.
He's not getting less than 7 million a year. He's still their best overall centre. Almost a point per game and just turned 34. He's going to ask for a 4-5 year contract somewhere at 6-7 AAV.
Taking the c from Tavares especially because 34 can’t score in the playoffs and a week before the playoffs started he had an anxiety attack and it was called a head injury!!?? That’s not a leader that somebody with all his talent to kick rocks! 8 years of absolutely nothing in the playoffs and u like all the other dumb dumbs think 34 is the second coming of Christ!! Tavares,Marner should go to a city where they don’t hate their own players!!
Props to Tavares but this has clearly been Matthews’ era. It’s finally time and now Auston has emerged to his rightful place.
