  1. Palmer wanted to stay but wasn’t guaranteed first team football and didn’t want a loan so left , end of , bad transfer business from city unfortunately he is class , pep has made a massive mistake here , we now have doku who is let’s face it not very good(so far)

  2. Simon normally very knowledgeable but it’s well documented from Palmer himself that he didn’t want to leave city, he wanted to go on loan and they denied. he was pushed into a permanent when he wanted a loan

  3. Palmer is way better than Foden. In that Chelsea team Foden would have scored 1/10th the goals Cole has

  4. Credit to Simon calling out the media including his own show for Chelsea hate, the handbrake U turns have begun already.

  5. Palmer made 25 appearances for City the season before they sold him. He only scored 1 goal that entire season. It was in an FA Cup tie against Swindon.

I don't remember anyone talking about him being even as potentially good as he has shown himself to be.

  6. It is always easy to speak and judge and be critical or the opposite in hindsight or retrospectively. So this debate is absolutely useless ! If .. could’ve should’ve would’ve … all hypothetical innit ?

  7. No one was talking about palmer until he scored 4
Until then he's been bang average now he's scored 4 he's world class
    Pathetic knee-jerk reactions

  8. Man City have won everything there is to win without Cole Palmer. He is a childhood Man Utd supporter. he never wanted to stay. It was best for both parties. Simple

  9. Pep has always been big enough to let players leave if they ask.

Let’s not forget that Chelsea let KDB and Salah leave, sometimes players don’t fulfill their potential until they find a more suitable home. All clubs have similar stories.

  10. Simon asks Keown a question , and he asks one back without answering , and interrupts and argues,
I think Keown is a plank, Jordan has his number all the time, I love it, Keown such a average player and pundit

  11. He said he wanted to go on loan but City said stay or we sell you; Chelsea called. The rest is history!

  12. City got a loan offer from Burnley for Palmer. They refused and told him he was either staying or he was to be sold. He said he would rather leave, Chelsea came in and the rest is history.

  13. Its Man City's loss that they decided to let Palmer go. And he is excelling at Chelses so far and is a regular starting player. His relationship with Nicolas Jackson is still in development along with everyone else and there is good positivity in the squad. I would rather see that than the club continue making headlines for the turmoil off the pitch.

We are not going to win the Premier League, but the priority is to make sure we return top 5, mainly third or fourth spot is what Chelsea are aiming for. We will have a couple or so bumps in the road, but right now Maresca is doing well and the club progressing on the pitch, under the radar is a good thing.

  14. What’s the big deal managers make decisions on players to be sold or kept they get it right sometimes big deal don’t know why we have blame managers for making decisions which they are paid to do.

  15. Cole has explained exactly what happened, he didn't want to leave he wanted to go on loan and prove himself and the club said you can stay or be sold so he chose to leave.

  16. Pep didn't have belief in palmer thinking..he is not good enough..thats the truth to anyone whos watched football for more than 2 decades…many players have been in this situation..

  17. 😂😅 Listen not 1 City fan sits there on the weekend and says oh we miss Cole Palmer! We dont even realize hes gone! He's great on a average team! He cant even get into our team! Pep is not regretting the decision to let him go neither is any City fan

  18. Get on with it man. Palmer was sold or he chose to leave, who cares. He is one of my fav players. I don't care for whom he plays.

  19. Cole Palmer asked for a loan, and Pep said no.

He knew his worth, and knew he deserved first team football. Guardiola didnt believe in him, it was evident by the fact they were actively in the market for another winger and Grealish, Foden, and Mattheo Nunes were getting game time ahead of him. Guardiola dropped the ball on this one, for sure.

  20. Pep can only really use 18 players a match day, no point crying over other players that aren’t at the club

  21. Come on Simon, We know you are a mangement stooge, but it was not play or quit, he also asked to be loaned to get playing time experience in thePL, but for Pep it's my way or the highway, luckily for him he's not at Manchester UTD.

  22. Keown makes sense. The player left to a rival and is doing very well. Pep will have to take it on the chin.

  23. No excuses for Pep! He missed this one! No way he won’t be upset about this just like how Chelsea fans regret KDB’s. Only difference is Palmer was showing signs of quality from junior league to senior league. As much as Pep tried to hide it, he definitely regrets this.
