I hope he gets a few games for sure but I honestly think he’d be better off having a year with the Wranglers. That team is going to be stacked and the kids need to develop a winning culture that the Flames probably won’t have much of this year

I don’t think he needs to play the full season, but he deserves a shot. Just to reward the hard work and doing what he was asked by the coaching staff. If nothing else it sends the right message to other rookies and guys in camp.

He should start the season on the Flames and Huska/Conroy should be looking for an excuse to send him to the Wranglers. Very few 19 year olds are able to consistently play at a high level every night for months on end. Quite often their play will start to fall off after a few weeks or a couple months. There is nothing wrong with sending him down when he has played 5 or more “bad” games in a row.
