  1. Ben. It’s odd that you believe all fans excited about posey believe that he is the “savior” and we’re going to be elite again asap. It’s more so that we’re excited that we know for a fact that the man, where the buck stops, will put his heart and soul into making this team great inside and perspective wise. Thats without a doubt why everyone is excited. It’s okay to be excited to know this Ben

  2. Re, JT Snow and Snell comment: I was stoked to see Beck start that game. I want Snell to sign a reasonable pimp contract with the Gigantes, but when nothing is on the line, I want the kids starting.

  3. The names that are floating out about Sabean and Bobby Evans is absolutely ludicrous. If even a smidgeon true, it reveals that this signing was more of a PR thing — an overcorrection for Zaidi being extremely unpopular — than it was any kind of strategy.
I love Sabean. He's a legend. But what hand has he played a part in for the past 10 years to make a major league team win 90-100 games and make the playoffs? There are countless people working in Baltimore, Arizona, Philadelphia, Detroit, Kansas City, Houston, San Diego and Milwaukee that are a million times more qualified to be seated as a General Manager after helping their teams accomplish playoff goals. They have a million times more of an understanding on how to compete in the modern baseball world than a guy who ran out of steam a decade ago.
Buster is a smart guy. So I'm really hoping he uses his intelligence here and this isn't all just some sort of "find guys that have armor to protect them from criticism from the fanbase" type of strategy. Because that's what it seemed like ownership did by bringing in Buster Posey. To correct for fans endlessly bitching about Zaidi from the moment he stepped foot in San Francisco, they brought in a guy who will probably have to have 5 straight below .500 seasons before fans start saying he should be fired.

  4. There is a big difference between jeter and posey. Jeter was a playboy that sought attention for his own glory. Posey has never acted that way. Been with his wife since he was very young. Was not attention seeking and was 100% about team first. Hes extremely humble. Jeter complete opposite at least in front of the camera. I truly believe that Posey is going to do his honest best for the team. Jeter did it for money. Hes not doing it to actually make the Marlins a great franchise because he cares. Its money. Both are powerful incentives but at the end of the day. Jeter still has crap tons of money and can walk away. Posey will have tons of money but the fact that he cares and ia invested emotionally will be a mong lasting incentive. Anyways just my 2 cents. I think theyre vast differences between the 2. Off the field differences.

  5. Snell will be sideline the moment he signed another huge contract. I say let him go… Not worth all that money

  6. I think the press conference introducing Posey as POBO was premature. It raised more questions than an answers. They probably should have just done their end of year thing and said "Farhan had been relieved of his duties. We will introduce a new person in the coming weeks". Then when they had a more structured look and plan they could have introduced Posey.

  7. admins dont win games. admins dont win world series. admins are office jockeys that dont really do anything at all.

  8. Saying Buster hasn't done anything to earn the role is laughable. He has 100 times the baseball knowledge as these spreadsheet analysts.

  9. No he can't. Not alone. He has a big title but champions are self-led. He needs lots of leaders to help him produce with the players he has assembled. .

  10. Dont spend that money on Snell, spend on Roki Sasaki who's going to be posted by the Japanese league, a 22 year old with team control for at least 4 years and give him the same contract thats like Yamamoto. We need to capture the Japanese talent market

  11. I'm not a Farhan fan but he wasn't as bad as you guys think. He couldn't spend money, owners wouldn't let him. "But they offered Harper and Ohtani the same amount as what they took". Yeah, same amount. Only thing we could offer was more money. They knew this, the free agents know this. It's how ownership gets away with not, actually, wanting to spend money.

  12. Farhan knew nothing about the game of baseball. All that little oompah loompah did was destroyed the Giants. Good Riddance!!!

  13. Ben Kaspick is beta. Farhan is beta. He has no clue how important recognizing alpha qualities is in professional sports. He needs to follow Farhan into obscurity.

  14. My fear is Buster is gonna surround the front office with his buddies from the past championship teams and/or being back some of the front office from those years and it's gonna keep the Giants in the same purgatory they've been in since 2016 and 2021.

  15. Moving to Posey is not an earth shattering move. Posey was already in house for over a year and he couldn’t use his clout to get stars to come here when Farhan was President. There was a published article on Posey talking about the problems here in SF is the real issue. Can’t fault Farhan too much. What we need is to address is the middle infield. We’re set with Ramos in LF, Lee in CF, and maybe Yaz in RF, Chapman at 3rd, one more year of Wade or Flores at first before Eldridge and Bailey at C. Need to decide if Fitz and Luciano are real options. Need to replace our hitting coaches because we need guys to teach situational hitting instead of the long ball and launch angles all the time. 91% of our wins came from games in which we had at least one hr or more, we got to find other ways to win. Those championships were earned through pitching, defense and timely hitting and that’s why Krukow called it “torture.” That’s what we need to get back to and hopefully Posey will bring that back here.

  16. Airing flippant questions about Posey's lack of experience are why nobody takes your show seriously. Are you dense? Posey's part of Giants ownership. Why's one who brings prestige and winning to the top not given a chance to remedy disappointments Zaidi has brought the last 6 yrs? Giants are far away from winning, need churn and only have a tiny core of solid players.
