I watched it last night and was pretty disappointed after seeing the McDavjd promos. Honestly not much behind the scenes.

Some personal stuff which is cool, but almost no locker room stuff and hardly anything covered but the 7 game series and even then it felt like a Leafs blueprint.

All in all, cool enough but felt the marketing was more powerful than the product

  2. It was far tamer than I expected.

Things were obviously heavily redacted in the Amazon series but I found Keefe insulting Jimmy Vesey (warranted at the time for the way he was playing in Toronto) far more “wow I can’t believe they aired this” than most of the other stuff. It was interesting to see McDavid yelling but it also felt like you got the entirety of it from the promos and it wasn’t just a teaser of more in depth stuff.

I learned that Willie thinks he’s to good to follow leash laws, and that’s about it.

    Very underwhelming and dull show.

I never knew he had this much FIRE, I’m impressed. Sundin never had public blowups like that.

This team needs more SALTY emotion and less of the stoicness of Tavares and Matthews. I hope Willy shows more of this fire and some of his other team mates pickup on this.

“Let’s GO stop being a crybaby” Marner !!

If you told me 10 years ago that willy is the real heart and soul of the leafs ..I wouldn’t have believed you ..glad he is a leaf for a long time

Nothing was as cringey as Swayman singing and playing guitar- I’m suddenly on the side of Boston management

My wife and I watched all six episodes last night. Watching that Boston series again was sad, again.

We both really enjoyed it and came away with a new respect for all the players involved.

bunch of film critics here, lol. binged this series last night and thought it was fantastic. what the hell were all the big-brained complainers here expecting?

I have only seen the first episode but I thought it was great. The series is following players and their lives, not teams. Expecting alot of locker room stuff just isn’t going to happen.

This series was not produced for die hard fans but for casual viewers and people who don’t know anything about hockey. With what they’re able to work with it was good. The best series of all time is still the HBO Winter Classic stuff.

I’ve never expected this from Willy not gonna lie. Imagine telling two of your assistant Cs to stop bitching about what goes wrong and just fucking shoot in the net?

    GIVE THAT MAN A LETTER.

also a side note that is not related to this, I was expecting Rielly to be named as C but oh well

TLDW: Hockey Players and coaches say fuck a lot.

Paul Maurice was the most entertaining part of the series.

As a Habs fan I admit I talk a lot of trash about Marner and Matthews. But god dammit I’m jealous you guys have Willy. That guy is the best player on your team as far as I’m concerned. He’s got immense talent and he’s got character. He’s a beast in high pressure situations. Every time he touches the puck when our teams play, I cringe.

Good luck with the upcoming season folks.
