A Prime Mike Tyson was a Kevin Rooney trained version. During his first title reign he was virtually unstoppable. He was the youngest world champion ever at the age of 20 and destroyed other champions like they were amateurs. Tyson’s fall didn’t happen until after he left Cus D’Amato’s gym and split with Rooney. Here he lost his grounding and didn’t answer to anyone. Only 18 months after he left he suffered his first defeat to the hands of Buster Douglas. He would go on to score knockouts and even regain his belt temporarily but he never regained his peak form.

Wow what a great walk through mikes timeline , watched the Buster win from Japan it shocked the world !I can’t leave out that Kevin impression spot on Professor ! ! Great days those were ! Great video !
Tyson is as relevant today as he's ever been!
You laid out your case well…. Do you think Douglas got a long count?
I remember watching my first boxing fight Tyson vs Spinks on my dad’s tv. I was 6 years old and loved it from then on. Then I cried when he lost to Buster Douglas.
I hope he got his work ethic back. I'd love to see him knock out jake paul.
As Roy Jones said in his song : y'all say i fought nobody . I just made them look like nobody . Something in that manner. He is one of the greatest . Speaking of greatest however, i don't know would he defeat Lenox .
Mike was unbelievable but definitely real. Did he fight some bums? Sure, but who didn't in their career? Like you said he did beat some of the best in his prime. We also can't overlook that he didn't face Holyfield, Foreman, Bowe, or Lewis which is why some people say he was overrated. He also had issues outside of the ring that hurt him, drugs being a major standout. In my opinion Mike is an all time great heavyweight but we can't deny that some criticism about him is valid.
I personally think the best tyson was on his way to get the first belt. Like his first 20 fights or somethingcand then of course bulldozing through Berbick and Sphinx
Well thought out and delivered
Definitely an informed point of view
Tyson beat 2 Olympic gold medal winners in his title reign. Briggs (ko round 7) and spinks.(ko 1) And also beat another Olympic gold medal winner Henry Tillman (ko 1) .. as a huge Tyson fan I love the content.. keep it going 🔥🔥
